IT'S FINALLY FEELS LIKE SUMMER! AN ENTIRE 15'C!!!!! I'm sorry I'm just happy it's finally warm... btw, I'm ending this book soon cuz I realised its rly long... also I forgot to say this earlier but the pictures I do not belong to me unless I say I drew them.
Recap:
"I guess it depends. Right now, an adventure would be fun. I need something to distract myself."
"Then, how about we go on one?"
(recap Over)
(Y/N)'s POV
An adventure with Amane huh? I do need something to distract myself but Tsukasa would definitely hate it.
"Why aren't you asking Nene-senpai?" I ask suspiciously. "She's not skipping right now."
So he needs a helper right now huh? I definitely do need something to relieve myself from all the recent stress so why not?
"Sure." I say, getting up. "Where to?"
"Follow me..."
Time skip brought to you by me
"Okay so here's the deal, there happens to be an apparition who is able to shapeshift. He seems to be causing a lot of problems." Amane explains to me.
"Well, he can't be too powerful right? I mean, I haven't heard any rumors about this guy..." I say.
"His rumor started earlier today and just kinda blew up, making him super powerful within the span of one period." Amane clears up for me. That makes sense since I haven't talked to anyone earlier today.
"So how do we find this guy?" I ask. "Uhm... well... I guess we just need to lure him out? There's no way to tell him apart from regular students so it's kinda tricky." Amane says, clearly lost on what to do.
"What's his rumor exactly?" Maybe we can find some hints through that.
"It goes: Yato loves the sound of chaos. Using his ability to shapeshift perfectly, he creates bad blood in peoples friendship. If he turns into your friend and tries to anger you, and if you don't continue the fight with him (while he's in your friends form), you will disappear without a trace."
"So pretty much he's trying to break the trust between people. Even a small incident can cause friendships to break, since they'd be scared not to fight. Hold on, you chose me as your assistant because we aren't friends, didn't you?" I ask.
"Right, right, and right." He cheers. "Smart thinking." I comment.
"I guess the best way to try to find him is by looking for fighting friends." I say, putting a finger on my chin in thought. "Let's go look for a fight then."
"You don't seem too worried." I point out. I'm not either. I have a gut feeling everyone will be safe. "Well, he's just sending them to a boundary, so we can always save them once we defeat him." Amane points out. "Fair point."
Timeskip brought to you by me again
It's been half an hour since we started to look for a fight, but we seem to miss it by just a few minutes each time. He seems to be jumping from classrooms to classrooms. My guess is that he turns into an insect to get by unnoticed.
How do we know which classes he passed through? Because they keep getting smaller.
"Ugh! This is so hard!" I screech.
"Don't worry we just need to keep looking." Amane says with hope.
"By this rate, our school will be empty! Well, I guess the loners would be safe..." I comment.
With that note, The bell rings, signalling the end of the third period. It's now recess, which means friends will be hanging out and more people will disappear!
I look around the halls to try and find anyone in a fight. However, the usual bustling halls were a lot less full. Just how many people has he already taken? "We need to hurry." I say. Amane nods.
We start running through the halls. I suddenly hear yelling from the other side of the hallway. Bingo! I look at Amane and we share a knowing look. We both dash in that direction.
We almost reached the fight but then we heard more yelling on the other side of the hallway. Why are there two fights? Shouldn't there be... oh no...
It suddenly dawned on me, people will fight with each other over nothing because they fear him. If one person starts a small argument, the other will be forced to continue it or potentially face Yato's wrath. But then again, it will only be people who believe in the supernatural that will believe the rumor in the first place. Hold on, the people who don't believe in it will most likely forgive their 'friend', causing them to disappear when he picks a fight with them! (im sorry im bad at explaining)
Yato most likely realised this and started targeting those non believers. No wonder it's hard to find him, it's because there isn't much of a fight.
I scan the crowd, which gathered around the nearby fist fight. Then I see it. One girl elbows another girl. "Oi out of the way!" the girl who elbowed the other yells over the chanting students. (not some spiritual chant, a 'fight, fight, fight' chant). I lightly elbow Amane to get his attention on the girls.
"Wow Yuki! What's gotten you in such a hissy fit?" the elbowed girl asks with a small chuckle. That's it! She didn't continue the fight! We watch in horror as she disappears into thin air. The people who were around her fill into the spot she was once in, not even noticing that someone just vanished.
Amane and I both saw as the 'Yuki' imposter dip beneath the crowd and out of sight. We both try to catch up to her but the crowd was dense and we sadly lost her. That small fight between those two girls lasted only 5 seconds. that means Yato only needs 5 seconds to make someone disappear!
(A/N): I'm sorry I'm really crap at explaining what I'm thinking. If anyone has any confusion, you can ask and I'll try to clear it up asap
