Cory's p.o.v

I finally reached home after getting mom the bottle of champagne she'd asked me to get from the mall. I pulled the car over in front of the house, locking the door and making my way inside the house

"I'm back!", I yelled to whoever was wherever listening.

"I'm in the kitchen", mom replied and I made my way to the kitchen and found her dressed in a simple dark blue dress and a pair of matching loafers. A black purse was strapped on her shoulder.

"You look gorgeous mom", I complimented and she smiled mouthing a thanks.

"That's exactly what I told her", my dad said coming in from the living room. Err.. He just wore a blue dress shirt and a black trouser.

"We should get going, Cory you ready?", mom asked and I nodded.
"Well you honestly are not dressed that way. I looked at the pair of washed jean trouser and plain black T-shirt I was putting on not knowing what was wrong with it.

"What's wrong with this?", I asked gesturing at myself.

"A lot Cory. A lot", mom replied and I scoffed unbelievably.

"I know this dinner thing isn't your whole thing and all but could you at least make an effort to look good a bit", dad said frustrated.

"Exactly, its not my thing and I don't see the point dressing all up for it. Its dinner at someone's house", I said matter-of-factly

"They have a beautiful daughter though, I'm sure you wouldn't make a good first impression dressed like that", dad said and I could see my mom chuckling behind him as my mouth fell open slightly.

"Whatever. I'll wear something better", I said walking to my room. "But only because they have a supposedly beautiful daughter", I yelled across the distance laughing at myself a little.

Minutes later, I returned putting on a pair of black denim trousers, a black plain T-shirt and a blue denim jacket with a pair of black converse.

"Don't you look and feel better now?", mom asked with sarcasm.

"I feel great", I replied with the same sarcasm.

"We should get going, Cory you're driving", dad said tossing me the car keys before we walked out of the house.

Took us a little bit over thirty minutes to get to their house and I recognised the neighbourhood. Its where I'd crashed into that girl. And again I wondered if our paths would cross again. I still hadn't stopped thinking about her, she was always there in my thoughts, not blocking everything but just there.

"Pull over there, its their house", dad said and I parked beside the road just in front of their lawn. My parents got out before me and I sat in the car for some seconds before a text came in,
'I'm back. Came just a couple minutes ago. I'll drop by your house now if you want'~ Danny.
I smiled at myself. The idiot is finally back.
'Welcome back bro. But I'm not home now, dad's making me go to a stupid dinner with him', I texted back to him.
Seconds later, my phone dinged and I looked at the text.
'Lol. Aiit then, I'll catch you tmrw', he replied.
'Aiit kiddo', I texted back with a smirk emoji.

I finally made my way out of the car and my parents I guess had already gone inside the house. When I reached the door, I just knocked and seconds later the door swung open. Shit.
The beautiful colleagues daughter is her..

"You!!", she said in shock, her face colouring red.

"You", I replied with a smirk. Job made easier.
I walked in before she even had the chance to say something else.
