Cory's p.o.v

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm. Covering my eyes from the harsh morning sunlight, I sat up on my bed. I don't even know why my alarm's set, I'm not in school and I can sleep till whenever I want but I just guess its become a habit.
I finally had the strength to get up from my bed and complete my morning rituals, after which I sat back on my bed not really knowing what to do. I wasn't feeling too hungry so I'd probably just grab something to eat later.
Then I recalled a certain girl. The one I'd crash into more than a week ago. She'd always found a way to get back into my mind after the accident and I didn't know why.
I remember her piercing electric blue eyes when she looked at me and her long hair, her scent too. She'd seemed cold when she was talking to me but I knew she was a polite person, at least that's what I think for now.
I'd look for a way to get her attention. I'm not sure we live in the same neighbourhood though but I'm sure I'll still see her around, maybe at Starbucks or something.
Trying not to think of our encounter was quite impossible so I made my way downstairs to grab my breakfast and maybe look for something to do.
I got to the kitchen and saw my parents eating breakfast already.

"Good morning mom, dad", I greeted and they nodded, their mouths too full to form words.

"You're up early, didn't think you'd wake up this early so I made breakfast for only two, but I can quickly make something for you to eat", my mom said after she finally swallowed her food.

"No its cool, I'll just eat some cereal, not too hungry anyways", I said walking to the cupboards to get the box of rice crispies; my favourite, a bowl and spoon. I put enough of the cereal in my plate and doused maybe a little too much milk in it.

"Cory isn't that too much?", she asked

"The creamier the better mom, never forget", I replied and she shook her head.

"So.. Cory, told your mother already, we're having dinner at you know my colleague Stevens home today so.. No matter where you go, I want you to be home before five", my dad finally spoke looking up from his laptop, he was probably checking his mails. His usual morning routine.

"Oh.. I'm not sure I'm even going out, I'll just sulk around the house all day", I said and he shrugged his shoulders.

"No problem, was just saying", he said going back to whatever he was doing on his laptop.

It's been two weeks since I came home from school for my two months holiday and its been really boring 'cause my friends were still at their various colleges, so for now until they return home, I'll just play as much video games as possible.

Kayla's p.o.v

The annoying sound of my alarm woke me up from my beauty sleep. My head pounded slightly from inadequate sleep, I'd slept a little past midnight yesterday because of the pile of assignment I had.
I got up from my bed and walked straight to my bathroom to freshen up and thankfully, the hot steamy shower helped my headache subside.
I felt slightly ill but I'm also sure a cup of hot coffee would get me to feel normal again.
Not having the strength to pick out something really nice to wear, I just put on a black palazzo and threw on a pink coloured crop top over it. And on my feet I wore a pair of nude sandals.
I looked at the mirror and saw my face looking slightly pale, I had dark circles around my eyes and my hair was a mess. Guess I'll have to put on some make up today.
I did the smokey eye make up which blend well with the bags around my eyes and I tried my best to comb my hair smooth but I stopped after five minutes of trying. Disadvantage of have a long and thick hair was when it gets tangled it gets hard to fix. I gave up and put my hair up in a high ponytail.
I walked downstairs with my bag lazily and got to the kitchen where my mom and dad were seated having breakfast.
