It was nearing 4am when Jimin finally came back home. He opened the front door and entered the house, muttering under his breath about how he had pointlessly ruined yet another shirt. He slammed the door behind him as he kicked his shoes off, shrugging his jacket off and hanging it up on one of the hooks on the wall.

The scraping of chair legs against the kitchen floor sounded from his left and Jimin looked through the doorway. He had been expecting to see Yeonjun making his way over to him and so he was mildly surprised when instead his eyes fell on Chihye. She had changed out of her wedding gown and was now sporting what appeared to be Yeonjun's clothes from when he had only just moved in with Jimin – a dark blue hoodie which was two sizes too big for her and a pair of ripped jeans which were rolled up at her ankles from where they were too long on her.

"Welcome home," Chihye said as she attempted to smile although it didn't turn out as bright as she had intended it to be. She approached Jimin slowly, coming over to stand in the doorway as her eyes flickered over his form.

Jimin was as cold and stone-faced as he had been when Chihye had first laid her eyes on him not even a day ago, but his appearance was a little more dishevelled now. His honey brown hair was sticking up in places, there were black smears on his cheeks as though he had encountered a fire, and on his black shirt across his chest there was a dark stain which Chihye didn't want to question the origin of.

"Are you not going to greet me back?" Chihye asked, her eyes travelling back up to meet Jimin's.

"Must I?" Jimin asked, sounding bored of the conversation already. "If you're going to play house then I won't stop you, doll. But I won't be playing these petty games with you."

Chihye sighed at his response. "It's not a petty game, Jimin," She replied exasperatedly, holding up her hand and showing him the ring on her finger. "We're married. I've thought about it while you were away and I've decided that since this is what my life is now, I might as well make the most of it. So, whether you like it or not, I'll be treating you as my husband from today onwards."

Jimin chuckled humorlessly at her words as he said, "I don't care, so do whatever you want. I've already told you—all you are to me is 3-billion-won. A payment. Another possession to add to my growing collection. Do whatever you want. It won't change anything."

"Fine," Chihye retorted. "Come have coffee with me."

There was a pause. Then, Jimin raised an eyebrow, not bothering to hide the surprise which was evident on his face. "What?"

"I said, come have coffee with me," Chihye repeated as she nodded in the direction of the kitchen. "I'll make it."

Jimin eyed her sceptically. "Are you planning to poison me on our first night as newlyweds?"

To his surprise, Chihye smiled at his words. "Look who finally admitted to being married to me," She teased him. "Didn't you just say that you wouldn't play house with me?"

Jimin scoffed lightly. "You focused on the wrong part of my question, doll. And stop smiling like that—there's nothing to be happy about. It was just a slip of the tongue."

"If you say so," Chihye responded though her smile didn't get any smaller. "So. Coffee?" She tilted her head as she looked up at Jimin hopefully.

Hmm, Jimin thought. She seems rather eager about just a cup of coffee. There must be some sort of hidden motive behind this. Is she really planning on poisoning me? Not that that matters much, I'm immune to most poisons anyway. And I could do with a cup of coffee ...

With a sigh, Jimin gave in. "Fine," He said. "Let's have some coffee."

Chihye's smile widened and she turned around immediately, walking through the lounge and into the kitchen with Jimin following closely behind her. He took a seat at the kitchen counter and watched Chihye as she busied herself with the coffee, silence settling between them.
