Imagine Dean and Cas taking a midnight drive with you to help you fall asleep
I silently crept through the bunker halls, moving quietly to the exit. I was hurting; I felt alone. I remembered Sam's offer from earlier tonight, "I'll always be there for you." Thats what he had said, but I decided to let him sleep and deal with this myself. I opened the door leading outside, taking in a breath of cool air. I saw the Impala next to the door, its shiny black coat sparkling under the moonlight. I climbed into the backseat, wishing somehow, I could fall asleep and forget all my troubles. I jumped to attention when I heard the Impala door open from the frontside. I pulled my gun from my pants immediately, aiming towards the figure entering the car.
"Whoa, its just me, Y/N. Put that damn gun away," Dean insisted.
I exhaled deeply, placing the gun back into my pants, "You scared the hell out of me, Dean!"
I watched him release a sigh, relief, undoubtedly. He sat down in the front seat, looking at me with curiosity lingering in his eyes, "Can't sleep, huh?"
I shook my head, pulling my knees to my chest and tucking my chin between them, "Not for the past three days."
"I know how you feel. I havent gotten much sleep in the past couple of weeks. I doubt Sammy has either. Researching, looking for cases, digging into the lore on things its tough on him. Tough on all of us."
Suddenly, the other door opened up front, Cas stepping in slowly, "I sense that youre both very upset."
I looked up at him, keeping to myself. Dean looked at my expression, "Okay, lets fix your problem. If anything, my Baby here can put you to sleep."
Cas nodded, "Even though I do not require sleep, I must say that Baby really can put someone at ease."
I smiled as Dean started the car, turning on the radio. Carry on My Wayward Son hummed quietly through the speakers.
I closed my eyes, laying my head back onto the seat. Dean began to sing along to the tune, faintly and gently enough to put anyone into a lethargic state. Cas closed his eyes as well, listening to the soft rumbling of the car on the road. My eyes fluttered open in time to see us pass the old diner, its old neon lights still glimmering despite the long years of being empty. I smiled, watching rain droplets suddenly splash the windshield. Dean had turned the radio down then and was nodding his head to the last remnants of the song as it faded to silence.
I closed my eyes for one final try at slumber and nodded off silently as we drove down the road. Dean turned around to see me sleeping peacefully, "Cas, look."
Castiel was quick to turn and smile, "We should return now, Dean."
He nodded, turning and heading back towards the bunker. When we arrived, Dean and Cas slowly and quietly got out of the car. Cas looked at Dean questioningly, a small, confused smile playing on his lips, "You have feelings for her."
Dean smirked, "Shut your mouth, Cas."
Cas entered the bunker, leaving Dean to deal with me. Dean opened the back door, carefully scooping me into his arms. He walked down the long staircase, careful not to bump my head on anything. I stirred slightly as he placed me onto my bed, but I was too tired to open my eyes. I felt Deans lips against my forehead, then tired footsteps were the last thing I heard before the clicking of my door as it closed.
