Chapter 1

3 years after the death of the alpha .....

"TAE" Jimin yelled as walked around the forest he was looking for his best friend. The beta had been waking around the lush forest calling his best friends name for more then an hour and worry was starting to set in 'God Damn-it I hope he hasn't wondered off to the city he knows it's dangerous' Jimin thought. Tae was known for wondering off from time to time, but that didn't make Jimin worry any less. The forest was fine, it's tall trees providing nice cover but with the threat of hunters always looming they couldn't risk going to far and wondering to close to the city. It was just too risky after seeing their fellow members murdered and no alpha to provide brute strength it was suicide.
The beta quickly shifted into his wolf form and began sniffing the air in search of his best friend. It was a cloudy day with a strong breeze he hoped wind would be enough to help carry Taehyungs scent. Just then he picked up on the sweet scent of vanilla and lavender. His head turned in the direction of the the source. His eyes widened with fear, there threw the tree line over the valley was the city's skyline. His woof let out a high pitch wimpier as worry consumed him. He stared at the distant skyscrapers over the valley. He took a shaky step forward. He took deep breath and closed his eyes he was determined to fine the omega and bring home no matter how terrified he was. Flash backs of countless wolves dying played threw his head his friends his family.... all killed, blood covered bodies and howls of pain haunted his memories. He began shaking with fear his breathing increased rapidly then—

"Jimin are you ok?"

Jimin slowly turned around tears in his eye as relief consumed him. There stood his best friend safe and sound. He quickly shifted back to his human form and grabbed Tae wrapping his arms around his slender frame as he  began squeezing the life out of him, his hug was as tight as a vice grip.

"Ouch Jimin your freaking squishing me! and your naked!" Taehyung yelled.

"Shut up! I don't care, do you know how worried I was?! I thought you had left! Worse I thought you went to the city of all places." Jimin slowly released his grip on the younger and looked at him with watery eyes. Tae knew how much the city scared not just Jimin but the whole pack. It was a know fact that hunters lived in the city and any werewolf caught would be killed.

"Hey it's ok I'm fine and your fine don't over react ok I'm not going anywhere." Tae gave a soft smile trying his best to calm the other. Jimin let out a deep sigh and grabbed some spare clothes out of  a backpack, he brought just in case he needed to shift.

"Fine let's just get back ok, Jin is waiting with everyone else back home." Jimin said as he tugged on his hand and lead the omega back towards their village. Tae only smiled and let Jimin lead the way, the omega slowly glanced back a the city in the distance. He knew what he was thinking was crazy but he was running low on options.

Once the two wolves arrived back on the pack grounds, they where greeted by a very unhappy Jin standing at the entrance of the the small village. His arms folded over his chest and a frown on his handsome face.
"He does not look happy." Jimin whispered to Taehyung. The dark haired omega let out sigh as they reached the entrance.
"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU HUH? YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST DISAPPEAR?" Jin was going to chew him out. Tae looked down at his feet and kicked the dirt he glanced up at his cousin with big puppy dog eyes.
"I'm sorry ok.. I just wanted to go out for a little bit you know clear my mind." At this point Jin looked like he was starting to calm down or so he thought.
"YAH THEN TELL SOMEONE YOU ARE LEAVING DON'T JUST RUN OFF."
Jimin looked at Tae who obviously felt bad for worrying the older werewolf.
"Look Tae we all are just really worried about you, the pack needs every single one of its members and well given the history we are all kinda on edge." Jimin gave him a somber smile and it was at that point Tae understood why Jimin looked so frantic in the woods earlier.
"Look I'm glad your back, just think things threw a little more before you do them." Jin said his tone was firm but still gentle.
" I understand, I'm sorry for worrying you both, it's just things here aren't great and I'm stressed trying to come up with a solution, everyone looks to me to fix things." Tae was being completely honest, he genuinely wanted to help his pack. With the hunters attacks their numbers had dwindled. The only option was to mover farther and farther away and stay hidden. But even this wasn't a great defense they lacked alphas the most powerful of their kind. Fighting experienced hunters would result in death, betas where tough and omegas where clever but they where not enough when faced with a hunter who was prepared to kill an alpha.
"Tae you know you don't have to do it alone we are here for you" Jimin took his hand squeezed it trying to reassure his best friend. Jin smiled agreeing with what Jimin had stated.
"Okay you two let's go everyone is hungry and we all where waiting till you got back to eat." The three of them walked toward the pack center to reunite with everyone for large bon fire style dinner.
Tae hoped that soon there would be an answer to all of their problems.
