Chapter 2-The day we met pt.2

My friend group was consisted of five people. Me ,the twins, Danica, and Brynn.

The twins had long jet black hair. Big brown eyes, and nicely pointed shaped noses. They were always matching or color coding whenever we see them. Today, they wore the outfits but in different colors. Cassie was wearing a black floral dress shirt, while Kristy wore a white floral dress shirt. Paired along with brown strappy sandals.

Danica was the shortest among us, she was about 4'11 while the rest of us were between 5'1-5'3. She had short dark brown hair with blonde highlights and honey brown eyes. Her signature outfit would consist of black denim shorts, white long sleeves, and a pair of black sandals. Her sport was soccer.

Brynn was the tallest among us, she had long dark brown hair, hazel eyes and wore black framed glasses. Her outfit was a grey long sleeved top paired with skinny jeans and black converse shoes. The sport she played was volleyball.

Last but not least (I hope) is me. Abrielle
I have long jet black hair, chestnut brown eyes, and I'm the chubby one in the group. As you already know. My regular outfits would consist of jeans and a top since I have no confidence in wearing anything other than that. If my legs are covered and my arms then I feel nothing but safe and content.

The last time I wore shorts was in 4th grade and it was super hot that day.  Cassie told me I looked weird in them cause my thighs looked too big in them. I felt so insecure and I haven't wore a pair of shorts since then.

Mean right? But she told me she was doing it for me. So I guess I let it slide considering she was my best friend since the 1st grade.

After everyone was introduced to one another we all sat down under the tree where the red bench was located.

The twins were talking to Taehyung constantly asking him questions one after the other. (I smell rivalry) I thought to myself.

Brynn and Danica were  hooked on Jungkook as they asked questions about sports and what not. For all I could care.

And then all that was left was me and jimin.

"Looks like there's going to be rivals for Tae and jungkook" jimin says looking amused
"You can tell too?!" I say surprisingly. I thought I was the only who thought it would head in that direction.

"Pretty obvious. They all just went to the guy that caught their attention the most. Like eye candy or something"

"What about me, who do you think my eye candy is?" I asked curiously
"No one. You didn't make weird eye contact with any of us." he said blankly
"Weird eye contact?"
"You know the "oh my goshhhh he's so cute, I think I like him" kind of eye contact" he said exaggeratedly

"You can tell when girls do that?!"
"No, but your friends made it really obvious" he said with a chuckle
"They're like that" I said with a sigh knowing this happens to often.
"I call it "boy of the week" " I said making us both laugh

"You're pretty cool Abrielle" jimin said as he reaches out his fist for me to bump.
"You too Park jimin" I said while bumping his fist

The second recess bell rang indicating it was time for our next period.

Mines was band.
"Who's your next period?" Jimin says walking with me as we head to our next class
"Band"
"No way me too!"
"Looks like we're all going to be besties Tae says cutting into our conversation"
"I prefer the term BFF's" Jungkook says in a girly tone as we all laughed in unison.

"How was your guys date?" Jimin asks jokingly
"Date?" Tae and Jungkook asks confusingly in unison

"You know where my friends try to flirt with you by asking you guys a bunch of questions to get your attention." I say making jimin chuckle

"I thought they were being just nice" Jungkook says still slightly confused
"No offense your friends are great and all but they do ask a lot of questions. I didn't get the chance to talk to you" Tae says making a pouty face.

"Well now you can, considering we all have band together now" I say making them all smile.

They're pretty cool I thought to myself.

It was now lunch time. Looks like our hang out spot was now the red bench since we all just met up there without letting each other know.

Tae was talking to me until Cassie interrupted by pulling me aside real quick.

"I heard you had band with Tae" she says not to happily while Kristy comes into scene

"Yeah with Jimin and Jungkook also-"
"What do you think of him. Tae. Do you like him?"
"No I don't like him like that. He's a cool guy and I see them as someone who I can be great friends with"

"Since were best friends and we tell each other everything. I'll tell you this. I like Tae, I like him a lot. He's not going to be what you call my weekly phases. So it would help if you stopped talking to him a lot."

"We all just met him. You're telling me who I can and can't be friends with?"
"If this friendship is important to you then I suggest you do stop"

"Cassie why are you being like this all of a sudden?"
"Being like what" Kristy cuts in making one of her eyebrows arch in a mean way

"I'll avoid him" I said making them both looking more a peace.

Here's to friendship and a great first day. I thought to myself as I head back to the bench where everyone was seated.

"You okay?" Jimin says as I take a seat next to him on the bench while everyone else is back to talking to the same person they were talking to at recess.

"Yup" I say handing him a piece of my mochi that I had for lunch making him smile delightfully.

"You know you kinda resemble this mochi" I said holding up my piece to him while his eyes widened and cheeks were full

"I do not!" He says with his mouth full
"I think I'll call you that now, MOCHI!" I said happily as he gave in with a sigh.

Maybe having guy friends will be fun. I thought to myself.
