Ch1 Seeing You

New day, new dawn, new opportunity...

Ding Ding Ding

"Welco-Jojo! Back so soon? How are you today?" You welcome Jolyne into your book store, she runs up to you and smiles, Jotaro followed in close behind her.

"Was there something wrong with the books Mister Kujo?" You ask, titling your head

"Oh, no but there are a few things I need to discuss with you, Jolyne why don't you go over there and draw or color something?" Jotaro nudged Jolyne with a nod. She skipped away to the children's area.

"Let's start with an introduction, I am Jotaro Kujo, you are?" Jotaro asked

"Oh! How rude I'm sorry! I am (Y/N) (L/N)! Nice to meet you! So how can I help Mister Kujo?" You ask with curiosity,

"Well it's two things really, first, the hair clip, how did you just randomly have one?" Jotaro narrowed his gaze in suspicion,

"Oh! Well actually it was mine! It was a gift from my mother when I was Jolyne's age, I had accidentally broke it and got it fixed a few hours before you two walked in!" You explain, you weren't upset with his question- after all you were a stranger to them.

"Hmm then I would imagine you want it back?" Jotaro raised an eyebrow,

"Haha oh no no no, think of it as...a welcome to town gift. I've seen you two around town but never really had the chance to meet you. Ah that sounds a little odd huh?" You rub the back of your neck a little embarrassed,

"You're perceptive, nothing to be embarrassed over...now the second thing, you seem good with kids, do you happen to have a day care?" Jotaro asked,

"No I don't, why do you ask?" You were confused...

"Well, I need to find a day care to keep watch of Jolyne, I have some work todo and I can't really watch Jolyne while I'm at it." Jotaro sighed and tipped his hat,

"Oh well, I could watch her for you, I don't mind. She's a sweetheart." You smile and look over to Jolyne,

"Really? Are you sure?" Jotaro asked a little shocked,

"Yes! Just let me know when and I'll watch over her!" You laugh,

" From now until about  5pm today, at that time Josuke's Mother will be back from work, she will pick up Jolyne and watch over her." Jotaro said rather blunt,

"O-oh! You didn't strike me as the trusting type! Not that you have any reason to not trust me but-"

"I asked Josuke about you, if he trusts you, then I'll trust you." Jotaro said,

"Oh I see, then...good luck with work." You nod,

"Jolyne I'm leaving now!" Jotaro called out to his daughter, she ran to him and jumped to hug him,

"Bye daddy! Have fun!" Jolyne squealed, With that Jotaro left, Jolyne ran back to her coloring.

You walk over to Jolyne and sit with her to watch her color and draw. She seemed to be drawing three people, you assumed to be her, Jotaro and her mom—but when she was writing the names she wrote "Jolyne" "Daddy" "Pretty lady"

"Pretty lady? You mean your mommy? Do you need help spelling?" You ask,

"No! I mean you!" Jolyne laughed, she added little hearts around the three of you and put a big heart with you and Jotaro, it made you blush...

"Why are you drawing hearts Jojo?" You giggle,

"Oh? You don't know? Me and my daddy kept seeing you around and we wanted to say hi but never did!" Jolyne looked up at you with a smile,

"Oh! Is that why you two came here yesterday?" You ask,

"No, we came here because daddy wanted a book about fish! I got nervous when I saw you up close, you are so much more prettier up close!" The cute little girl blabbed,

"Oh I see! Is there anything else?" You say trying to get a better read of the situation,

"Oh well....don't tell daddy I told you but, today is just a test to see really how good you are! I didn't think he needed to test you since I thought you are nice but he didn't take me seriously- Daddy isn't really working today, he is actually just talking to big brother Josuke! I think my daddy likes youuuu~" Jolyne giggled

"Wait wait big brother Josuke?" You blink with shock

"Oh well...he's not really my brother, but we are still family and he said it was ok, so I call him that!" Jolyne began drawing butterflies on her paper,

~Jotaro's POV ~

"So you're sure she's not a stand user?" I asked Josuke,

"I've already told you no! She's normal, I even used Crazy Diamond on her once and she didn't really suspect a thing! What is all this about anyway?" Josuke sighed,

"I've been seeing her around town, stand users are naturally drawn to each other, I just wanted to know if she was a threat." I said,

"So that's why you left Jolyne there with her and had Kouichi and Okuyasu watch both of them!" Josuke said seeming to finally understand.

"Yes because if she does anything odd, Okuyasu can pull Jolyne away and Kouichi can let out an alarm of sorts." I explain,

"Hmm you know...I personally am more of a romantic myself...are you sure stands are the only thing that bring people together? What about lov-" Josuke grinned

"Shut up." I stopped him,

"Awww come on! You have to admit she's totally hot! (He made gestures with his hands) she's nice and curvy too! Pretty face and very kind and nurturing by nature! With an air of kindness she just so comforting~" Josuke egged on,

"She's a good woman, a good person, she seems to care for Jolyne. Jolyne likes her. Despite the short amount of time they've known each other.."I say

"If she's compatible with Jolyne I say you give her a shot! Here you go take her out to lunch tomorrow as a thank you for watching Jolyne!Just...give her a chance, she really is a great person...hell if I was your age, I would've snatched her up for myself! But for me now she makes a great sister!" Josuke smiled

"I'm not sure Josuke..." I sigh, that seems a bit tiring,

"Hey man, she's lonely! She never tells me straight out, but sometimes in town I'll catch her wearing something nice and she sits some place like she's waiting for a date, time and time again, they either don't show up or they eat and leave before they have to pay. Course if I happen to catch the guys...I serve my own justice but, she's left a little broken. I can't fix that type of break! It's gotten so bad that a few weeks ago on her date night, when the guy dined and dashed, she didn't even cry, she just paid with a sad smile and went home! Just...she could use a friend, at the very least." Josuke pleaded,

"I'll take her out to lunch as a thank you, that's it, nothing more nothing less." I compromise,

"Thank you Jotaro!" Josuke said happily.

Jolyne was taken home by Josuke's mother, you went on home to change. You had a date tonight...

You never understood why you kept trying...
