Ch14 Eye of the Storm

You woke up first, you couldn't even look at Jotaro, you felt embarrassed. You start to giggle to yourself when you realized you could hardly move your legs. So you ended up just kinda standing there at the edge of the bed for awhile waiting for your legs to regain their strength.

You put on an oversize shirt you grabbed from the top drawer, slipped on some short pajama shorts and head out to the kitchen to cook up some breakfast. Opening your fridge you see enough ingredients to make omelet rice.

You turn on the radio and begin prepping the ingredients to start cooking!

"When Doves Cry" by Prince started playing on the radio, while you were cooking you started to hum, sing and dance to the song.

"~They feel the heat, the heat between me and you~ How can you just leave me standing~" you started singing, bouncing up and down to the beat.

"~This is what is sounds like when doves cry~" while the omelets cook you dance to the instrumental.

"~How could you just leave me standing? Alone in a world so cold?~" you murmured the next few lyrics and then checked on the rice.

"~Why do we scream at each other?~" you sang then another voice chimed in from behind singing

"~This is what it sounds like when doves cry~" Jotaro had wrapped his arms around your waist while you started to flip the omelets.

"Oh! haha Good morning Jotaro~!" you turn your head and give him a peck on the lips.

"~How can you just leave me standing? Alone in a world so cold? Maybe I'm just too demanding~" Jotaro sang pulling you closer.

He let you go and you went ahead and set the omelets and rices on two plates. You turned to see Jotaro wearing some baggy shorts and no top. You blushed.

"Blushing still? Surely you would've gotten used to me after last night..." Jotaro smirked,

"Oh shush! I'm still in shock ya know! Plus no matter how many times I see you, you make my heart flutter...you know it took me like 10 minuets to even start walking this morning?" you pout and set the plates down on the counter.

"Just 10 minutes? Suppose that's my fault for underestimating you. Next time I'll make it an hour." Jotaro said as he started to eat. You on the other hand almost spat out your food,

"HM?! *cough* a-an HOUR?!! Jeeze!" you took a sip of water,

"Well— actually I want to thank you for being so gentle haha" you said with a smile.

"I don't want to hurt you, but since I've already gotten a sample of you, next time I'll want the full course." Jotaro said, never once did he stop eating, he was being serious. Your face went red with the implications.

*Ring Ring Ring*

The phone rang, Jotaro was closer so he picked up, you could tell it was Tomoko from just how loud she was talking over the phone.

"Right, thank you Tomoko" Jotaro said as he set the phone down.

"So? What's happening?" you ask,

"Well first, Tomoko says 'Good morning' and around noon we go meet up with Tomoko at the ice cream place near your store.

"Ah alright! I'm going to go ahead and get ready to open shop! Will you be fine on your own for a while?" You ask while taking your plate to the sink.

"Course, Jolyne and I will come by your store after we get ice cream." Jotaro walked up next to you and started washing his plate.

"Alright! I'll see you soon starlight-oops" you cover your mouth after you blurted the nickname you came up with for him. Jotaro stops and looks at you, his eyes narrow and head slightly tilted,

"What did you say?" His tone was heavy, you just ran to the master bed room and dove under the covers hiding, it was childish but still.

You could hear Jotaro's foot steps slowly make their way over to the room,

"Now where could she be?" Jotaro said, you could hear his foot steps walk around the bed and then leave the room. You let out a little giggle and suddenly-

You were lifted off the bed, Jotaro stood in front of you with a smile,

"Found you~ Now what did you say?" Jotaro asked, you assumed his stand Star Platinum was the one holding you up.

"I don't know what you're talking about~" you nod, you felt SPs hands move a little.

"Are you sure? Star Platinum, lets jog her memory a bit." Jotaro chuckled, you raised an eye brow and then you started laughing. He was tickling you, you squirm around laughing and kicking around.

"Stopp! StttAAAPH IM GUNNA PEE STOOOOP AHHH HAHAH!" You scream,

"Well do you remember?" Jotaro said

"YES YEYEEEEAYS AHH SSSTOP" you screeched, SP set you down on the bed. You were out of breath and your sides hurt from laughing.

"ahhhh...phew I...I called you starlight..." you exhaled.

"Starlight? Almost sounds like a nickname you'd give to a child, last I checked I'm a full grown man, I'm older than you too." Jotaro raised an eyebrow.

"Y-yeah but sometimes you are just so cute I can't help it" you let out a nervous giggle.

"Cute?" Jotaro looked taken aback from you comment, he almost looked...flustered?! A devious grin appeared on your face.

"Mhmm~ yes cute! Look! You can be shy at times, and when you blush you turn away or try to hide under your hat! Awww~" you stand on the bed to meet Jotaro almost at eye level. You took his face in your hands and treat him like a child.

"wook at dis wittle cutie pie~!" you give him a small kiss on the nose, when he finally looked at you, his face was flushed a deep red and he eyes were wide. You raised your eye brows from surprise and giggle, you pulled his head into your chest hugged him.

~Jotaro's POV~

My heart was beating so hard it felt like I was fighting for my live...again. But this time, I wasn't afraid. Her heart beat was slow and soothing, my heart beat slowed slightly to meet hers.

I slowly wrapped my arms around her.

Her touch, it reminded me of high school...those girls all clinging to me looking at me with those eyes...it was disgusting...but this woman...shes different...I like her touch, I like the way she looks at me, its different. 

I love her.

~Normal POV~

"Actually, could I come help you at the store today?"  Jotaro said with a surprisingly soft expression.

How could you say no?

"Of course~Then we can pick up Jolyne together~" seems like you are finally starting to understand this seemingly unmovable man.

You smile and look forward to what today may bring~

*Meanwhile at The Morioh Train Station*

"So this is where he's been...what could he possibly be doing in a small town with my little Jolyne?"

"I'd say he's just trying to keep Jolyne away from us Babe. Wants her all to himself. What an asshole."
