'What the fuck happened to you Aqua!?' Cece half yelled half stumbled when she tried to get up from the couch. I figured she was still drunk.

'We searched everywhere for you.' Sophia piled on.

'We were worried when you didn't answer you phone.' Lila spoke quietly.

'Where are your shoes?' Naomi scrunched her face in confusion.

I had planned what I was going to say to them. I was ready for this.

'That guy who attacked someone? I ran after him.' I didn't have to fake the guilty look I put on my face. I felt awful for running out on everyone.

'How could you be so stupid.' Naomi growled at me.

I sighed. 'I didn't think, I just went for it.'

'He had weapons on him! One of them was in the wall!' Sophia pointed out.

I bit my lip. 'I had to go for it. I just,'

'Didn't think.' Cece finished for me. 'We went out to celebrate and you go running after a criminal!'

'I'm sorry.' I whispered. I was sorry- just not about the lie I had concocted. I was sorry for running off and worrying them, I was sorry for putting them in danger and not speaking up about Kalum. If I had of, we could have gone to the police and they might've helped. At least everyone would be on watch.

I just didn't want them to all go through anymore- two of them had already almost died.

There was silence. No one knew what else to say. I could sense they were all still mad at me.

'Well, what's done is done.' Lila spoke up. 'You were trying to help; I can understand that.'

'Lila, she endangered herself!' Sophia protested.

'And what on earth do you want to do about it Soph? Turn back time?' Lila sarcastically quipped. She really was becoming more confident. 'She had noble intentions.'

'It's called letting the police do what they're trained for- she can barely run up the stairs without getting puffed out.'

I wanted to show Sophia exactly what I could do, I could strike her with lighting or blow her away with a gust of wind. I also knew, however, that she was right. My lie wouldn't do much good if it caused an argument so I had to concede.

I put my hands up I surrender. 'You're all right. I am really sorry. I'll make it up to you guys I promise.'

Cece clapped with excitement. 'Hell yes! Aqua's 'I'm sorry' presents are the best!'

I laughed. At least someone had forgiven me. I glanced around the room. I supposed it best to sleep on the issue and hopefully I would be forgiven fully tomorrow. I knew I had put them through worry, and rudely abandoned the celebration.

I sighed. 'I'm going to sleep guys. I'll make it up to you all tomorrow.'

I headed upstairs to my room as solemnly as I could. I was slightly excited; Noah was going to get me the stone. I had to start to searching for some sort of magical spell that would help me see the truth from it. So that's what I did, I stayed up till three in the morning flipping through the scrolls I was given and translating. The closest thing I found was a truth spell that would make someone tell nothing but the truth for twenty-four hours but the stone was an inanimate object- this spell wouldn't work on it.

I went to sleep finally when my head started to hurt and my jaw started to ache from unknowingly clenching it too tight. I had nightmares all night of blood-soaked oceans and mutant Merfolk. It was pretty spooky, and left me feeling terrified. I saw Cora's dead body wash up on the ocean shores and Noah was sitting on the end of the pier crying in disappointment. We had failed our mission, and war had broken out.
