CHAPTER FIVE

    The shokugeki was beautiful, as the judges started tasting Yukihira's dish, I knew that he would be the winner. I just knew.

Moments later, Yukihira was announced as the victor for the shokugeki. It made me form a smug on my face. I stood up and walked towards my best friend, who was now apparently talking to, er- what was her name again? Megamind? Me...

Ah! Tadokoro Megumi.

"Yukihira-kun. What an amazing performance you did out there. If you challenge me into a shokugeki, I'm pretty sure I'll beat you." I said.

"What a nice joke (Y/N)! Ah, Tadokoro, this is my friend that I was talking to you about, Tadokoro, (Y/N). (Y/N), Tadokoro Megumi." Yukihira introduced his little "crush" to me. I grinned at him, and when he noticed my grin, I quickly felt the 'If you tell her you're dead' aura.

"Pleasure to meet you, Tadokoro-chan. My name is Tanahashi (Y/N). Daughter of Tanahashi Juuzo and Tanahashi Kuroe. I've been friends with Soma-kun over here since we were in elementary school." I exclaimed, formally introducing myself to her.

Just by looking at her, I can tell that she's one of the most helpful people around, but I can sense a little nervousness coming from her eyes.

"Pleasure to meet you too, Tanahashi (Y/N)!" She bowed in front of me, which made me feel awkward.

"There's no need for that, Tadokoro-chan. And you can call me by my first name, and I don't mind." I said.

"Now, excuse us, and we're going to the Don RS and reporting our victory to the leader," Tadokoro-chan told me, I nodded and smiled as I watched them walk away.

"Maybe it's time I should go back to my dorm too." I thought.

On my way to the dorm, a black car approached me and made me feel uneasy. I started walking faster towards the opposite direction of where the vehicle was heading to.

Surprisingly, the car stopped right in front of me. And the girl who went out of the car was none other than Nakiri-san.

"Nakiri-san, may I ask why you're stopping your car in front of me while I'm in a hurry?" I felt a slight tone of annoyance coming from what I said.

"Tanahashi-chan! I have something to ask from you." Nakiri, Alice stated. What? Nakiri Alice is asking me something? Oh no, what did I do now?

"Uh, sure," I replied. It was peculiar for me for two people talking in the middle of the toad.

"Would you go on a date with me?" She asked.

What?

"H-Huh?" I flinched.

A date? With Nakiri Alice? What? Why?

"Don't be late. Tomorrow is a Saturday. I'll be in front of your dorm. 5:00 PM sharp. That's all." Alice then went back into her car, and not a single word came out from her mouth afterward.

What the fuck just happened?

SATURDAY. INSIDE (Y/N)'s DORM.
10:46 AM.

"Pffft, that's what happened?" Soma laughed as I told him what happened between Nakiri-san and I yesterday, "(Y/N)-kun! I thought you only had feelings for the tsundere, now you're going on a date with her cousin? BWAHAHAHAHA!"

I sighed. "Look, I don't know what's going on either, okay? And who said I had feelings for Eri-chan!?" I blushed.

"Ooo, now you're blushing? Never have I ever thought you'd be in love!" Soma exclaimed, still laughing. "Alright, alright. Just because you thought I was going to be alone forever doesn't mean you get to tease me a lot, you little piece of red shit."

"Anyways, we should get you something to wear I guess. You need to be on the top of your game today even if you don't have feelings for her. Make her feel respected." Soma stated, "Wow, never have I ever thought I'd hear those words from YOU, Soma-kun." I replied.

"Whatever. Do you have a suit or something?" He asked. "I do. But I'm not sure if it's appropriate if I wear a suit, should I wear a dress?"

"I mean it's your choice, but considering your short hair, you'd look better in a suit." He said.

"Well I guess I should wear a suit then."

ERINA'S POINT OF VIEW

"I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!" I exclaimed, "Alice is going on a date with MY crush. I can't believe her!" I ranted, ranted, and ranted. How could my own family betray me?

"Erina-sama. I believe Alice-sama doesn't know your feelings for Tanahashi-sama." Hisako exclaimed.

She's right. Only Hisako knows my harnessed emotions for that buffoon. "Should we eat at the restaurant they're going to, Erina-sama?" Hisako asked.

"Well, so it wouldn't be obvious, how about you go and observe them, Hisako?" I stated.

"E-Erina-sama? Are you sure?"

I crossed my arms, "I'm sure."

"A-Alright then, Erina-sama. They'll meet at 5:00 PM in front of Tanahashi-sama's dormitory. Our neighbour."

"It's fine with me. I just want to see how (Y/N) is going to act around my beloved cousin." I stated.

And maybe find out if (Y/N) likes me too...? I continued, however, whispering this time.

"What was that, Erina-sama?" Hisako asked in a concerned and curious tone.

"Nothing important."

(Y/N)'s DORM.
4:56 PM.

"You can do this (Y/N)-kun. I believe in you." Soma said.

"You know, I'm not even looking forward to the date. Why are you more excited than me?" I asked seriously.

"Whatever, Ms. Not Single." He replied. "I fucking hate that nickname."

"Deal with it, bitch." He laughed.

"Ugh, you're the worst," I stated, please, Nakiri-san. I don't want to deal with this piece of shit for now. A black car then parked in front of my dormitory, and Nakiri Alice went out of the vehicle.

"There she is, good luck, man," Yukihira said, patting my shoulder and heading inside my dorm.

"I see that you dressed pretty nice, Tanahashi-chan." She smirked.

I was wearing a raven-palette suit and a black necktie (which was uncomfortable) and black dress shoes. On the other hand, she was wearing something of the opposite colour of my palette. A yellow dress, not too "showy" but not too bland, either. She was wearing heels, and her hair was still the same except that her bangs were now braids that are connected.

"I suppose this is the part where I escort you to your car?" I said.

"Sure thing." She told.

Damn it. Why am I getting nervous?

"Let's head to the restaurant, shall we?"

I apologise for the really long wait. I'm sorry, I forgot about the story. WAAAAH. It's because I kinda failed my exams, and I had to focus on my studies a lot more. Plus my girlfriend broke up with me last time HAHAHA. Anyways, since it's quarantine time, I'll be able to update the story once in a while. Thank you all for the positive support and comments. ^_^
