Cheer Camp

2 days passed and yesterday Amber and i just hung around the dorm i meet more people on our floor because Amber talks to them all. We also bought a tv. Steve even came by to just hang out and we ended up watching a TV and Amber had a friends over as well name Britney. We well I also discovered Steve gay but he doesn't have a boyfriend his roommate is gay as well but has a boyfriend that comes here.

Today the first day of cheer camp and were staying the night in the dance hall for a few days to bond and get to know each other. I woke up in the dorm at 6am got ready and got my stuff to sleep. I meet Steve outside and we headed towards the Dance hall together. Some of the girls and guys knew who i was but once they heard my name they all did and they all came over to say hi. There was about 8 guys and only two where straight and the other 6 were gay including Steve. Once we all said hi to each other we started stretching. At 7 two couches walked in. Coach Cantu but i didn't know the other lady.

"Hello Girls and Guys, good to have you here Im coach Cantu and this here is my assistance Coach Tarry who is new this year due to last year incident " She says and upper class men start taking to each other remembering

"Shhh girls guys quite" Coach Cantu says

"Where are my Caption" Coach says looking around the room and a girl and guy stand up and walk towards them

"Were gonna get to know each other for the first hour then were getting to work. Captions" She says and both the coach step back and take a sit in two chair's

"Hello Freshman im your head Caption Ashley im a Senior here loop studying to be a Cheer Coach. Over the summer i went on a small week vacation with my Friends, spend time with my family and went to the beach a lot" She says

"Hello Freshman im Aaron you Co- Caption im also a Senior here studying to open my own business. Over the summer i hung out with my boyfriend my family his family and went to the beach a lot with Ashley" He says in a high pitched voice

"So were gonna go around the room State your name, grade level, what your studying here, if your in a dorm what dorm and what you did over the Summer" Ashley says and we went around the room. Steve went before me, once it came to me i was nervous

"Im Demi, im a freshman here, i wanna study to be a coach or business im in the Mesa Court Dorm, over the summer i went on a mouth Vacation with my parents and soon to be adopt sister we went to Thailand, came back to LA and spend time with my boyfriend as much as i can helping and watching him train to be in the Olympic in a few days" I say and the girl next to goes. There was a total of maybe less then 30 of us. The coach also said what they did over summer. After that we started tumbling for 2 hours then started learning the cheers they do at the games i already knew them since im obsessed with his cheer program. The coach's and Captain were impressed they just though i learned fast which i do. We did that for 2 hours then took a lunch break.

"Hey Steve you wanna go to lunch with me" I ask

"Um sure" He says and we get in my car and go the café. Some other cheer leaders came and said hi to us. We had an hour lunch. So once it was over we headed back to the Dance Hall.

"So a lot of you were Wondering about the uniforms and when do we get them. You get them once you complete Cheer Camp you can only miss 3 days. More then your out today easy were just warming up your bodies since most of you didn't practice on your own over the summer. In a few days it well get harder. You get the uniform because you deserve it" Coach said

"Lets get to work" she added

We were just tumbling today and Steven told me that you get in varsity by being the top 15 to be able to do the most back hand springs. I can do at least 25 but its been a while.

"Try outs are the last week of cheer camp and it's on back hand springs" Coach Cantu says and we continue

Steve told me Ashley can do 15 which is the most any one can do which is why she's cheer leader caption.

"What if someone beats her" I ask him

"It just depends on who it is if it's a freshman they make Varsity but o there an upper class me you can be co captain if your a senior or co captain then you can be captain" He says

"But no one can" Ashley says approaching us with a bitchy tone

"I was just giving her information" Steve says

"Thanks for that Steve, but i can tell her" she says sounding like a bitch

"Well next time i have a question ill ask you" I say with the same tone

"Look your just a freshman, DON'T push it" She says getting close to my face then walking away

"Well someone needs to get her in check" I say with a smirk

"What you gonna do" he ask

"I know for a fact i can do 20 the least of back hand springs, i just haven't practice continuously in a row for a while, on a trampoline for can do about 60" I say and he has a shocked look on his face

"Captain or what" He says making me laugh

"I wanna help you" He says

"How" I ask

"You can come to my dorm building and we can move the furniture in the study hall and you can practice in there"

"That's a bit to small" I say

"They want you to do it in a short distance and space" He says

"I can do that if i try" i say and we drop the conversation and continue to practice our tumbling.

A few weeks passed and Cheer Camp was over well today was our last day and it was try outs today. Freshman were first she had us go alphabet order. Buy over the week girls quit because they couldn't take it and got hurt. As try out keep going i was getting nervous the whole team was watching. Over the past few weeks Ashley and i didn't get along, she found out i was practicing and she heard i can do more back hands then her so she because jealous. I don't know who told her since it was always just Steve and i in the room. Amber went a few times but she didn't talk to cheer leaders. So im guessing some one say there the door window. They called my name to try out next and i was extremely nervous now.

"You can start when ever you like" Couch Cantu says and i saw Ashley come closer to get a a better look. As captain she had to go before the freshman and she did 35. Arran the co captain did 32. Ashley hasn't happy he almost bet her. I took a deep breath and started my back hand springs. I wasn't keep count but what felt like 30 later i was now getting tired but i got about 20 more out of me i think. I soon started hearing the team count.

"52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59,60" And then i stopped and i got a round of applauded

"Good Job Lovato you did 60 beating the all time record of any cheer leader who ever attended this school" She say and i was a but dizzy now. Steve came and help me sit down. If any one did that many there be dizzy too. He handed me an orange and i started eating it to make me feel better. I say Ashely face and she looked pissed. Once everyone was done. No one didn't beat me. We were excused to lunch and Steve and i picked up some food then went to my dorm so i can tell Amber and call Andy. They were both excited for me. After lunch we had to head back to the Dance Hall to find out if we made Varsity or JV. Turns out me and Steve made varsity and i was excited, Ashley keep giving me dirty looks. We got our uniforms then we were excused to our dorm. Cheer Camp was officially over and i was tired so i went to my dorm and sleep.

I woke up a few hours later. And realized i was free for a week of no cheer. School started next week. So i decided i was gonna go to LA. So i got up went to the bathroom showered and went back to the dorm and pack a bag for a week. I texted my mom ill be home for dinner so she'll wait for me.

"Going some where" Amber ask coming in

"Yeah i have a week off so im gonna go home but ill be back in a few days. I just wanna see my family and Boyfriend" I say and i was done packing

"Ill see you like Saturday night or Sunday afternoon" I say and walked out the door and throw my bag in my car. I got in and texted Steve i was going home for a few days and he told me to be care and use a condom. I laugh and started driving towards LA.
