Seth worked with trying some medicines to get rid of the parasite that had invaded Ethan's systems. Nothing was sucessful. The scientist sat in front of the three Biogrowth tanks and talked to the masses of cells inside, "What should I do? The parasite is immune to the same medicines that Ethan is. I can't use poison or Ethan would suffer as well." The female part krackenoid that Shamon brought back hovered in the corner of the lab to listen to Seth, she saw how much he cared for his friend and whatever was in those tanks. Jasmine's eyes cut to the hall, a dazed Ethan walked past as Seth continued to fret over his friend. Jasmine wanted to tell Seth, but she could not put it into words. The isolation she was in took away her ability to speak commonspeak well. All she could do was follow him and make sure he did not get hurt. The brunnete krackenoid woman Wrapped her two long tentacles around him and moved him out of the way of some people before placing him back down and following him outside the ship. She was able to feel his heart during this time, slow, his breathing was slow and deep. He was not dazed, he was asleep. She let him go and followed him to see what he would do.
Ethan kept walking before finally setting down in a place that felt off. Something vile seemed to be lurking in the darkness of the cavern there. Jasmine was about to move forward to get him out of there before a rumbling shook the entire cavern. Whatever was coming was big, bigger than her. The cave was soon blocked off from her access, She knew that this felt wrong and flew back as quick as she could to The arkship to tell someone. Ethan, now alone, was surrounded by steely blueish-green vines covered in spikes, the flowers on the vines red as blood. Smaller vines curved and coiled around him as old pieces of his cyborg body fell off, the vines broke off and took the place of the old and worn pieces of his body. The vines let him go once they were done and disappeared into the caverns. Ethan laid in the cold of the caverns, surrounded by the broken pieces of metal that used to be part of him. Seth and Jasmine found him with a young krackenoid to help. "Ethan!," Seth exclaimed when he saw his friend wake up, he hugged the brunet, "Ethan, I was so worried! Are you okay? Do you hurt anywhere?" The red eyed brunet man got up and moved his body around, he felt lighter and more limber. "I feel great actually.," Ethan responded, "Still hurt emotionally but I am fine physically." Seth looked at part of his arm and quicly stepped back. Ethan was confused, "Seth, what is wrong?"
The raven haired scientist pointed to the arm, "Ethan... That is a bloodvine." Ethan's eyes cut to the vine that was embedded in his arm, the pulsing vine burrowed deeper into the cyborg's arm as he started to feel it past the seditives. He opened and closed his hand, It felt like it used to. It was like he was purely organic again. He could feel every little thing on his fingers. It was an amazing feeling. That feeling was cut short by small whispers. Not the same gentle whispers he used to hear from floraadia, no, these were voices calling for blood. Ethan looked at his hands as he realized, he had activated bloodvines as part of his body. It hurt to see his only remaining friends scared of him. Ethan did not want this, he did not want any of this. He missed the planet that he used to see on the surface of this icy hellscape. The planet that he fell in love with, the planet that gave life to the one tht he love more than himself. His arms looked like actual arms, but the nails were the iconic bloody spikes that would have covered the bloodvines. He put his hand over the clear covering of his heart and replaced lung. The parasitic Vines could be seen partially embedded into the organs that were on display.
Seth and the other two looked like they were going to be sick as the vines dug into his body more. Ethan did not really feel it as much as he should have, so he was confused as to what was going on. The raven haired male carefully took his friend's new hand and led him back, glad that Ethan was safe, but unnerved at what he had in his possession. The cyborg gladly followed his friend back to the Ship to do a little inspection of his new parts. Seth was careful during the examination, He moved slowly to not cause discomfort for Ethan or to the new addition to Ethan's physical form. "So, how does it feel?," Seth asked as Ethan opened and closed his hand, "Does it affect your mental state or processes any?" Ethan tapped the side of his head a bit before answering, "No. I hear the bloodvines asking to be fed, but that is it. I can't hear the nerve vine at all." The raven haired scientist nodded as he listened to his friend. "It is actually light compared to the metal I used to have. I'm more flexible with these as well.," Ethan said and did a few stretches, "It is as if I am not a cyborg anymore, Like I am complete, like I was when I was born." Ethan's joy and energy radiated from him, he seemed to be doing better. "You should still rest Ethan, you went through a lot of trauma recently, You still need to recover from that.," Seth said, "You should probably try to get some sleep after the nightmares you were talking about."
