Chapter one: Ethan's loss

Ethan gasped for air after he woke in the cloning pod, His New cyborg body shivered in the cold air as he cried. He had lost his pregnant wife in the collision, he lost everything that he loved. His fist pounded the metal floor as he cried out in rage and agony. He curled up on the ground and wept as he dried off in the cold air. He was heartbroken. His heartbreak began to turn into rage as he remembered who was behind the destruction of his beloved planet. Skyler, the one that he used to call a brother. His heart went from cold agony to burning with white hot rage. His fist flew when he heard footsteps approach, Barely hitting Seth. The black haired man's blue eyes were wide as the metal fist slammed into the pod behind him, He had never seen his friend so corrupted by rage before. The pale male stepped aside as his friend pulled his metal fist back and looked at it, "S-sorry Seth, My temper got me."

The black haired man looked down to his friend and took his labcoat off, he draped the labcoat over the cyborg. "Ethan. Come on, Let's get somewhere safer than this." The scientist was able to lead his cyborg friend to his lab and the tankfully still untouched portal. After starting it up, he logged in the coordinates for Floraadia. He grabbed three DNA keys from the health lab before stepping into the portal after his former admiral friend.  He felt his heart sink when he saw the ash covered wasteland that used to be a green paradise. They were saddened by the sorrowful trumpeting of the woolbucks, the woolbucks were being led underground by soot covered Krackenoids. A shadow fell over the two as they watched in shock of the disturbing sights and sounds of the planet that was wounded and crying for her lost children. "You two, it is not safe here, Please come.," The voice of the one behind them said. Seth and Ethan looked behind them to see a mass of green-blue tentacles hovering in front of them, they looked up to see the sharp toothed muzzle of the krackenoid leader, Shamon. His yellow eyes no longer were murderous, but had a sense of sadness to them. Two tentacles wrapped around the arms of Ethan and Seth to lead them into a passage that went underground. 

Ethan was silent save for his sobbing, Seth and Shamon felt bad for him. The Krackenoid led them to the arkship they had found in their expeditions in the midnight crevice. There were many refugees there, Children, some young couples, and Helianthus. Shamon sat the two men down at a safe point in the ship, The large vessel had been powered on and the life support functions were active. "We were able to power up the old engines after all of this time.," The large krackenoid spoke, "This and the other few ships will act as the colonies while Floraadia heals." Ethan nodded his head in a hollow manner, his eyes showed that he was barely listening. Seth felt it, Ethan had to as well. Floraadia was silent. "What happened to Floraadia? Why is it not speaking?," Seth inquired the Krackenoid. Shamon's solemn look gave a partial answer before he spoke, "Floraadia is asleep. She has put all of her energy into keeping her people alive and to heal. The world on the surface will become an ice age while a paradise will bloom here in the undercaverns." The tentacles on shamon's body waved slowly and sadly, Seth could tell he was feeling the pain of losing the most beautiful place in the universe.

Ethan's eyes showed he was not focused on what was happening in the moment, he was still stuck in what had happened hours prior. The last kiss he shared with his beloved wife. Shamon saw the lack of clothing that Ethan had and called one of his followers over to give the former admiral some clothes. The admiral was clothed and left alone by the Krackenoids. Seth sat by his friend, he listened to the former admiral's mad muttering. "Ethan.," Seth spoke, "What are you going to do now?" The cybrog man's red eyes stared right at the blue ones of the scientist, "I am going to end Starcorp. Tanya and Fo, Skyler, all of them. They will be burned alive." Seth fell back, the sheer malice and madness in his voice shocked the scientist. "They will pay, they will pay. I lost her, My last chance at love.," Ethan stood up like he was being puppeteered by his own vengence, "I will kill them all." The cyborg went to walk somewhere. Seth pulled the DNA keys out of his pocket and looked at them. He stood and followed the ship signs until he reached the medical labs. There were some injured Floraadians there and the krackenoids that were trained as medical professionals as well. Seth found some old genesis and cloning pods, He asked the krackenoids if he could use them. They gave him the go ahead and let him have part of the medical lab in exchange for services of helping them heal the wounded.
