Merlin
The sun shone through the curtains of my lab as I rose to get ready for today.

It's been a few days since we all visited the Queen, the only person had visited her being Elizabeth.

Besides that, it's been a pretty normal couple of days.

Once I took a shower and got dressed, I decided against staying in the lab for the day.

I instead thought it'd be a good idea to go down to the Tavern.

I teleported there and immediately got squeezed into a hug from behind.

"Merlin!!!"

I turned around, my eyes meeting with a pair of (e/c) ones.

"Hello everyone. Y/n, what are you doing here?"

She stepped back and twirled around, flaunting her new
outfit— Oh no.

Why does the uniform look so flattering on her?

"I'm working at the tavern for today!"

I put my face in my hands.

Partly to hide my face and to contemplate whether having her here was a good or bad thing.

"I hope you know, you'll have to deal with drunk men and orders at the same time..", I reminded.

Y/n smiled up at me and rocked back and forth on her heels. "I should be fine, everyone knows not to mess with a Queen or her friends."

Diane then leaned her head on her palm and looked in our direction. "The villagers here learned that from the Vaizel Fighting Festival.."

King snickered and went upside down on Chastiefol.
"She kicked so many asses that day. Didn't even get hit."

Something clicked in my brain, as I gasped at Y/n.

"You were (alias), weren't you?"

She grinned cheekily and walked towards the table where Diane sat. "Guilty as charged!"

Captain came from around the bar and clapped his hands together. "We're open in 5 minutes, everyone get ready!"

Y/n, Diane and Elizabeth all picked up a notepad and tray, Ban went to the kitchen, and Captain stayed behind the bar.

The remaining Sins went outside or upstairs yet I stayed and sat on the stool near the bar.

"Y'know Merlin, it'd be pretty nice if you wore"—

"Absolutely not.", I interrupted, already knowing the next words that would've come out of the blond's mouth.

I decided to admire Y/n as she welcomed shocked people into the tavern.

"Why's the Queen working here?!"

"To help out my fellow friends. Plus, I love to work and be helpful to people— welcome to the Boar's Hat and I hope you enjoy the dishes I brought down."

I almost forgot the event today. She catered today's orders for the same price as normal.

Lots of people are bound to flood in at the mention of royal cuisine.

Her kindness almost makes you forget how many times she killed Ban the other day.

Scary.

I walked around the tables swiftly, almost looking like I was dancing.

Food was coming out and being ordered quickly and I was bringing the plates around just as fast.

I went back to the bar for ale and Meliodas reached over to pat me on the head.
