I woke up with a giant headache, and it was unusually cold. Oh that's it, Merlin's not here.

I rolled over to see a note on the nightstand.

"𝘐 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯. 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺. 𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘢𝘮.

I smiled at the last part and folded the note.

Since we're gonna open today, I just set out the tavern uniform.

"Y/n, we're opening in 2 hours!", someone yelled from downstairs.

I shouted an 'okay' back, then went to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

"Oh wow, you aren't dead?"
I rolled my eyes at the smirking immortal, who was preparing the kitchen for the tavern opening today.

"Y/n, you got home at around 3 pm yesterday, and it's 12 pm right now. You must've been exhausted."

I scratched the top of my head and looked around. Hm.

"I guess so.. where is everybody?"

Ban turned around and put a plate of food on the counter.

"Captain wanted to go out and spend his money for the tavern. I don't know about everyone else."

"That would've been my first guess. Is that plate for me?" He nodded with a grin. "Yep! Eat up so you can meet Merlin before we open."

I looked at Ban in confusion. "How do you know about that?"

"I went upstairs to check on you, and saw the note on the nightstand. I'll wash your dishes when you're done."

I nodded my head and took a bite of scrambled eggs.

"Thanks."

Ban then sat himself on the counter beside me.

"No problem.. now why were you in your underwear this morning when I checked up on you~"

I choked on my food for a second. "Dammit Ban.. Nothing happened, dumbass! I slept in my underwear since I didn't feel like changing!"

He snickered and ruffled my hair. "Aw, you don't have to hide it. You totally got some last night."

I shoved Ban to the side while taking another bite of my food. "I hate you."

"No you don't!" I rolled my eyes and put my plate in the sink. "Unfortunately."

He laughed while hopping off of the counter. "I'm heading to my room if you need me, Y/n."
