It was 12 in the afternoon and Shontae and Chassidy planned to go out with the boys to celebrate opening their Barbershop. The boys knew they needed a legal business and nothing better than investing in a barbershop. Tae hasn't spoke to Kadeem since the night he tried to call her hoe but she was not missing a night out. This would be the girls last party for the summer because school started back up for them soon.

Shontae needed her hair done if she was going out tonight. She was heading back to queens to go do her hair and see her grandparents. Shontae hasn't seen them in almost 2 months. Her grandparents have been traveling ever since her grandmother has been cancer free for five years now. Tae's grandparents aren't that old, her grandma was 53 and her grandfather was 58. Shontae's mom had her at 16 and her grandparents disapproved of her getting pregnant so early in age but they loved their chocolate princess Shontae.

When Shontae reached her stylist Diamond at her house she was ready to look good again. She walked up the stairs to Diamond's front door to see Kadeem walking out her house. She wasn't surprised to see Kadeem there, Kadeem and Diamond have been fuck buddies for so long. She was just mad she seen him when she was trying to ignore him. Kadeem on the other hand regrets on how he talked to Tae at the house and wanted to apologize. His mom raised him better to call a girl out their name especially someone he was close to. While Shontae was trying to walk around him, Kadeem stopped in front of her.

"I'm sorry, I was just in my feelings and I didn't mean to call you out your name Tae." Kadeem used his hand to hold her face so she was looking up at him. He felt so bad looking into her face, he wanted to kiss her so bad but he knew he couldn't. Shontae stared at him for a minute and just watched his lips. She just wanted to kiss all over him and when she looked up in his eyes she knew he was sincere. Keem don't apologize so for him to apologize to her right now she accepted it.

"It's cool Kem. But do that that shit again we fighting." Tae smiled up at Keem and went in for a hug and Keem wrapped his arms around her. Kadeem didn't want to let go but he knew he should so when he did he couldn't help but swipe across her butt.

"Boy you play to much now move out my way I gotta do my hair for y'all party." Kadeem moved out her way but not before kissing her forehead.

"Aigh I'm gonna see you later then." Tae just nodded her head, she couldn't speak she was shocked he just kissed her forehead. After that she continues her way to Diamond's front door to get her hair done.

Shontae didn't finish her hair till 2pm. She was feeling herself so much. She loved how Diamond does her hair, she got a frontal wig install. Diamond styled her hair straight with a side part. Diamond lived 4 blocks down from Tae's grandparents house so she walked instead getting an Uber to get her.

Once Shontae reached her grandparents house, she seen her grandmother in the front patio sitting down. Her grandmother noticed her Tae baby and smiled at her. Tae walks through the gate and closes it behind her to hurry and go sit with her favorite person. Her grandparents always kept there house so beautiful. It was the best house on the block. The house was blue with a nice patio filled with her grandmothers favorite flowers. Shontae hugged and kissed her grandmother's cheek right before sitting next to her.

"Hayy baby, I love your hair. You just got it done?" Her grandmother Pat watched her sha with so much adoration.

"Yeah mama Pat. You know everytime I'm over here I gotta see you and PopPop." Shontae's grandmother hates the name grandma so she has Tae call her mama Pat. Everyone on the block knows Mrs. Pat as mama Pat.

"How are you and Chassi doing? How are my favorite boys? I've seen my Keemy pooh last week he said you guys weren't talking, did y'all makeup?" Tae tells mama Pat everything that has been going on and mama Pat tells her how their vacation have been treating them. Tae's grandfather finally comes home from being at the gym and he gets so excited to see his beautiful grand baby.

"Oh look at my beautiful chocolate princess." PopPop was a military man, he joined the military at 18 and you would swear he was the strictest person ever. When it came to his wife and granddaughter he was the sweetest person. Tae gets up and jumps on her PopPop. Shontae's grandpa was the closest thing to a father she's ever had but she loved him so much and she looked so much like him. People always mistaken her granddad as her father and they would go along with it.

"PopPop I missed you so much, mama Pat was telling me all about the cruise. I heard you was acting a fool." Tae got off him and let him take her seat while she sat on the ledge of her grandmother's chair.

"Yeah you know I be turnt." Tae couldn't help but laugh, PopPop would try so hard to be down. Tae stayed for almost the whole afternoon catching up with her grandparents before she finally left to go home.

Tae got home around 8pm, she walked in the house to see her best friend sitting on the kitchen counter eating pizza and talking on the phone.

"Bitch!! You look the fuck good. PERIODTT!" Chassidy noticed her best friend when reached the front of Kitchen entrance. Chassidy spent her day getting her hair done and finding something to wear.

"Periodtt Bestie and you looking real spicy. You found something to wear?"

"Yeah girl I bought two outfits just in case I changed my mind."

"Okay I want to see it after I get out the shower and Mama Pat made curry chicken here's your bowl." Tae walked into the kitchen handing Chassi her bowl.

"Oouuuuu, yesss im going to eat this when we get back from the club." Chassidy took the food and got off the counter and put it in the fridge. While Tae went to shower, Chassidy cleaned up the kitchen before she got in the shower.
