Jungkook's first day at his new job wasn't exactly bad it was just super slow. They gave him a good nine hours of work for his first day, the older lady that had worked there for twelve years was nice and showed him how everything goes in full detail instead of a half ass explanation which Jungkook was grateful for. Quickly he had gotten the hang of putting books back on each shelf of its genre or help checking some books out. The day was also slow because very few people have came in and he's been there for like seven hours already.
"Excuse me?" A sweet voice called out towards the male, turning around from behind the counter, Jungkook sees a younger girl with two bright bows in her hair looking up at him with a small smile.
"Can you tell me where the fiction books are?"
Jungkook drops the stapler that was in his hand on the desk as he nods with a small smile. Coming around the counter, the little girl walks behind the tall male and follows him as he leads her to where all the fiction and fantasy books were held at. Although he was a little confused, he didn't bother asking where her parents were. So instead he walks away after hearing her small 'thank you' and heads back to the papers he was just stapling. He couldn't say that he wasn't bored because that would definitely a lie, he honestly wanted to go home and get on his computer but of course he knew that he was doing this for his own good.
"Shit!" A loud shout from the other side of the library was heard followed by a very loud thud. Jungkook sighs before placing the stapler down once again to go see what fell. With one hand playing with his name tag, Jungkook took long strides towards the side of the library. Once in view, he almost cries seeing the huge mess knowing he'd probably have to clean it up and organize the books that fell. But what stopped him in his step was the short girl already bending down to pick it up. Although he noticed that there were tons of books on the floor but what stole his gaze was the big bottom staring back at him almost teasing him in a way. Carelessly, Jungkook tilts his head to the side slowly as he watches it carefully. But of course all good things have to come to an end once he sees the girl turn around, annoyance clear on her face.
"The fuck are you looking at." She says angrily. Jungkook immediately snaps out of it before smiling cutely at her, she doesn't budge at his face only getting angrier.
"Just came to see what the noise was." Jungkook reaches towards his name tag and points at it. "I work here."
He was beaming but she only gave him a blank resting bitch face.
"Okay then that means you should be helping me clean this shit up, right?" The girl scoffs before turning back around to pick up a couple of more books, almost struggling. Jungkook stares for a second before moving beside her.
"Right." He was now helping her put the books back into the cart that were originally holding the books. "How did this happen anyways?"
"I'm a little clumsy sometimes." She murmurs, it was quiet but he heard it. While taking some books from her hands, he thinks of something.
"Ha, that reminds me of my friend namjoon. He's really clumsy. One time he-
"Look," the girl takes a glance at his chest. "Jungkook, I didn't come here to make friends, please stop talking."
Although she was being rude, he didn't take it to heart. He knew some people were just angry at the world and just needed someone in their life to make them happier. At least that's what he believed, even though Yoongi had told him a million times that some people just liked to be left alone. So instead of talking, Jungkook hummed while placing the books back.
"Do you always have some way of doing something annoying." The dark skinned woman asked, she had to look up to actually look him in the eyes and Jungkook thought it was quite cute. As he got a good look at her face, he notices the long lashes, the light makeup she put on making her look really cute. Jungkook could just tell she'd look beautiful with no makeup on at all. Before it could get too long of silence, Jungkook spoke up so she wouldn't think he's weird for just staring.
"I don't mean to."
The girl rolls her eyes, a smile almost tugging at her lips when she notices that the tall male was actually kind of cute. She looks away as seeing that he has yet to stop staring, hands tossing the books into the cart unlike Jungkook who did everything neatly.
"What's your name?"
"What?" She turns her head.
"You know mine, so what's your name?" Jungkook nudges her a little, surprised at his own burst of confidence. "It's only fair."
"Taya. Are we done here?"
Jungkook tosses the final book into the cart before turning his full body in front of her before crossing his arms across his chest. Taya wanted to look at his face but she couldn't help but to notice his arm muscles bulging.
"I mean, technically you can be done but I work here so I have to sort through these and put them back on the shelf." Jungkook shrugs. Taya nods before pulling out her hand from her pocket reaching it towards him. Jungkook raised his eyebrow in confusion, this caused the girl to sigh.
"Your phone. I'm putting my number in it."
At this Jungkook was quick to get his cellular device from his back pocket and unlocking it before handing it to the girl. Quickly she was in and out of the phone before handing it back.
"Call my phone real quick so I have your number."
Jungkook does as told, clicking the new name in his contacts which said 'baddest bitch' with a smirking devil emoji beside it. He couldn't help but to catch himself giggling at the name before clicking the call button, soon her phone was going off.
"Now we have each other's number. Call me sometime." Taya slapped his chest before walking away.
What a interesting day.
