okay, guys, I am so excited to start this book! Just a heads up, this is just a beginning chapter, like in The Paylor Games, this chapter is a bit boring, it will get better soon! Don't loose hope! I hope you all like it though!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The starting of Aniley is truly something that shouldn't of ever happened at all! I don't mean the war or anything, of course that shouldn't have happened! I'm thinking of how the survivors came together and searched all over for a safe place to start over. Only twenty three years ago, year 2876, World War Three Ended with several nuclear bombs sent from all over the place. The whole war got started over one silly mouse found in the president of Russia's plate! Anyway, almost everyone died! A small group that lived found a world wide radio station and called out for help. Soon there was a group of hundreds! They all set across the country until they found a place that was safe to live in. They sent out more radio calls every day for anyone who wanted a safe home, and people came. After about ten years of extreme hard work, they had built what we call Aniley.
The government runs Aniley. There is no president here, he is called the Govener, Govener Bradly to be specific. The government is made entirely of reborns. Reborns are the people who lived during the war and remaking. Anyone who was or is born in Aniley is called a newborn. Newborns get hard labor jobs that dont pay well, while reborns get the honor of having nice easy, high paying jobs. That is why the government made the rules. They are really very simple really, just stuff like, no weapons if you are not a government, no crossing boundary fences. But there is one that sticks out, with all of the hard labored new borns, there is a high risk of a rebellion. With even just the whisper of an idea, a holding will take place.
I don't know much about holdings, just that a lot of newborns are taken away and killed by dangerous people. There have been two holdings just in the past twenty three years! Govener Bradly is very strict and cold hearted...
The bell rings, signaling that the day of school has ended. I lift my head up and grab my stuff and walk outside of the classroom into the noisy hall. Apparently, as long as the school is big enough, Aniley only needs one of each, an elementary, middle school, and high school. There are around a thousand kids that go just to the high school. I wonder what we learned today in English, I was paying no attention. thinking about the war and our evolution. My World War Three Paper is due next week.
"Hey Jenna!" I hear. I quickly turn around and smile at my sister Kimma running my direction.
"Yea?"
"Mom wants to know if she can help you with your paper. If so, you need to go home now, because she needs to go to work soon." Kimma tells me.
"Yea, I'll be home soon. Thanks," I smile.
"Mhmm," she turns around and catches up with some friends. Being fourteen, she is new to highschool, and she is enjoying it. I'm sixteen, almost seventeen. I have a year left after this one, and I'm all done. There haven't been any new collages built yet.
"Hey flames," My friend Makennlie says.
"Hey!" I hug her and we walk to my locker. She called me flames, referring to my red hair. My hair is actually black, but Makennlie made me dye it a bright red. My mom, Abby, has short red hair, Kimma's is long and red. She usually curls it, her and my mom both have brown eyes. My dad and I both have green eyes, his hair is blonde.
"So what's up?" I ask.
"You haven't heard?" She gasps, "Jonah was put in jail last night! I heard he rebelled against his newborn duties!"
What? How?" I exlaim.
"He just wouldn't do it!" She says. Like I was saying earlier, newborns have hard, low paying jobs. Jonah is responsible for taking out the high class reborn's garbage. "He went to his house and put out signs that he was done with his job because it stunk and he only got fifty cents an hour."
