Change of Plans

~ 3 ~

Shoto stretched out his arms letting his hands run through his hair moving it out his face. He sat up feeling his eyes still droopy not getting to sleep after putting the twins to bed as he ended up doing some more of his homework. Today he didn't have class but he does have a double shift then tomorrow should be his day off. He rubbed the back of his neck feeling something clinging onto his side. Right by his side was Eui who had sneaked in while his dad was working and too focused to really notice.

"Eui" he sighed, needing this habit to break or it's just going to get worse. He picked up the sleeping boy from his side already kicking his blankets off then walked straight back over to the room the twins shared putting the small right back in his own bed. He decided he could sleep just for a few more minutes before he woke them up for daycare.

So with the twins still asleep Shoto went off getting his uniform and was off to the bathroom taking a quick shower.

After his shower Shoto dressed in his dress clothing then had made his way into the twins room. He walked over to their closest looking through one side to the next getting their outfit for the day out and on their bed. By now with the noise of hangers and heavy sigh from a thinking male Sana had woken looking over where his dad stood.

She jumped right out of bed happy until she noticed her dad already in his work clothes making her huff her cheeks out "daddy can you stay?" she asked.

"I can't today princess"

"But- "

He turned to his daughter seeing her arms crossed and frown on her face. He didn't have time to waste with her pulling a fit "I promise tomorrow i'll be home all day" hoping that would ease her.

Sana dramatically sighed and laid on the side of her toddler kid "but I don't want to wait!" she yelled, getting shoto to have a little laugh "Sana."

Eui was the next to be woken up by noise, looking around seeing he was right back in his own bed. Shoto just then decided to ignore his daughter's fit she was pulling going over to Eui helping him change out of his pajamas and then had turned to Sana who was now on the floor. He sighed "Sana that's enough. Now come on or you're gonna make me late."

Her little fit didn't last long hearing the sudden change of tone in her father's voice knowing he was being serious. She pouted standing up letting him help her change out of her pajamas then he had taken the two into the bathroom brushing their hair and helping brushing their teeth. With a quick glance of the clock Shoto still had enough time for making them breakfast something simple and filling.

Deku placed the last colored dot on the ground as was used for an activity later for the day for the kids. He glanced around letting a small sigh as he started to think back from the other day getting Ochaco message about meeting Shoto. The date still not set but the thought was bringing back a bubbly feeling in his stomach.

"Yo Deku! Can you go to the cafe down the street to pick up muffins?" Kirishima asked holding a piece of paper out with the address on it "please dude before it gets crazy busy."

Deku who was in his thoughts snapped out looking down at his hand waiting for him to take the paper "oh um sure but why muffins?" he asked, taking the paper and taking a quick peek of the name. He felt his world freeze seeing the name of the cafe fully know what cafe he was talking about. Ochaco worked there and so did Shoto. You know the guy he wants to badly meet but badly wants to back away from the idea.

"For the break room duh bro and maybe a coffee make it ice coffee" Kirishima said smiling. He wasn't gonna say anything not wanting to ruin it but after getting a message from Ochaco later in the night asking for his help to play matchmaker he was in. He watched his friend begin to stumble with his words waving his hands changing his mind but Kirishima ignored his cries taking some money.

"Why can't you go? Isn't Bakugo working today?" he asked, trying to get his way out of it "yea you could go and see your boyfriend" pushing Kirishima's hand back as the red haired male tried to give him the money.

Kirishima shook his head taking Deku's hand and slapping the money down "no I already clocked in and you haven't" giving his friend a toothy smile "plus the kids love seeing me first."

He opened his mouth to speak when Kirishima gave him a push towards the door in a way to help him out. Deck didn't fit back how could he when some kids were starting to pop in

The drive only being down the street was about ten minutes if there wasn't traffic but the morning rush started half way down making him sit in traffic for a good extra minutes. He felt himself start to shake as he got closer to the cafe. He wasn't sure Shoto was working today and he was already a mess not even pass the doors. Deku pulled in one of the few empty parking spots sitting in his car just hyping himself up in cause he was there.

Deku took a deep breath and was off locking the car knowing what to do. He looked through the glass doors spotting his friends working only noticing two out of the four workers that was enough comfort for him to let out the air he was holding in feeling whatever nerves he had washed away. He walked in giving a way to the two behind the counter.

The only two there were Ochaco and Denki both getting things done for the few people that stepped in for their morning coffee.

Ocacho was the first to stop working, leaning on the counter having what seem like a smile. She was trying not to give off any hints of a plan"hey Deku didn't think you would drop by"

"I'm here to pick up Kirishima orders" taking the money out.

She gave a nod "Denki can you ring him up" walking over to the barker part of the cafe. Denki nods "i thought Kirishima already paid when he ordered"

"He also asked for a coffee," Deku added.

Denki gave a slight nod "the dude can't go a day without it."

He waited to the side while Denki got Kirishima's drink ready and Ochaco placed all the muffins in a bag. He thanked them for taking hold of the bag and the drinks. He didn't order a coffee.

Ochaco smiled "it's in the house. You're working with kids so you're gonna need it." Deku smiled giving her once more thanks, walking over towards the door. He glanced back her once more "I'll pay you back somehow Ochaco" he called out. As he turned back the bell of the door jiggled and what felt like slow motion was him and someone else bumping chest to chest making his grip on the bag to fall and the drinks in the cup holder to spill on each other.

"I'm sorry!" "sorry" the two yelled looking at each other figuring out who they had bumped into. Deku's face flushed red seeing who he had bumped into.

// sooo I have to say i am quite enjoying writing this haha. I haven't really written fanfic in a long time and it really remind why I enjoyed writing//
