Kenzie's POV It's been 5 years since i've seen Johnny. He was supposed to come to LA for christmas and he never showed up. I've tried calling him but he never answers. He hasn't posted on instagram in 5 years either. He's just been MIA. We've tried looking for him i've talked to his parents and his sisters and they've been looking for him and so have the police. Rylee's been asking me where her dad is lately and I never know what to tell her. She always listens to her dads music and watches the old youtube videos we made together. I tell her everything about him but she wants to see him in person and i don't know if that's ever gonna happen. She started dance recently and we're on a TV show called "dance moms". She's so talented. We're on our way to her first competition of the season.
When we got to the competition my mom and I had to rush to get her ready because she was the first solo of the day and we were already an hour late getting there. Just before Rylee went on she got super nervous and started crying.
Rylee:Mommy, I cant do it. What if i forget? Kenzie: Then improv. You can do it baby girl. Now stop crying and get on the side of the stage. Rylee:Ok. I love you mommy Kenzie:I love you too Rylee.
She did amazing i couldn't be more happy. When she got off of the stage she ran into the dressing room and ran to my mom. My mom helps her get ready mostly. Rylee says I "stress her out".

My mom got her ready and the girls lined up on the side of the stage and my mom and i went to go find good seats.
(I literally didn't even realize she said she wished her dad was there until i was re-reading this chapter but i mean i guess it works)
When the girls finished dancing the all ran into the dressing room and they were all super happy but Rylee was crying.
Kenzie:What's wrong Rylee Rylee:Where's my dad mommy? All of my friends had their dads here but i didn't. Kenzie:Rylee. If I knew where you dad was i would've made sure he was here Rylee:Does he not want me? Kenzie:Of course he wants you Rylee. Rylee:He hasn't been here my whole life though Kenzie:Believe me Rylee he was there for you Rylee:I've never seen pictures of us together Kenzie:Rylee he lived in Canada remember. But when he was here he took so many pictures of you. Rylee: I wanna see my dad. Kenzie:You will one day babygirl.
Just then Lauren walked into the room and Rylee ran to her. Rylee:Auntie Lolo Lauren:Hi Rylee. Rylee:You came all the way here from Canada Lauren:Yeah because i have a surprise for you after you get your awards Rylee:YAY!!
