Rylee started walking to her room and she told johnny to come to the living room on her way. Johnny came in to kenzie crying on the couch
Johnny:Baby what's wrong Kenzie:Greg died Johnny:What Kenzie:I just saw it on the tv Johnny:Did you call your mom Kenzie: No Johnny:How do you know it's real then Kenzie:I don't know let me call her.
Kenzie called her mom and her mom was balling her eyes out. Kenzie knew right then that the man who raised her was gone. Kenz talked to her mom for a while then cuddled up on the couch with Johnny.
Johnny:Baby i know it hurts Kenzie:How are we gonna tell Rylee he was her favorite Johnny:We just have to tell her Kenzie:But do we wait Johnny:I don't think we should Kenzie:Ok let's tell her then.
They went into Rylee's room and she was sitting on her bed watching youtube.

kenzie yes it's true. Today the man that raised me my entire life even though i'm not biologically his passed away. He was Rylee's favorite person on the planet. She did everything with him and her grandma. He loved Ryder so much. He was really a man who loved everyone. I'm going to miss him so incredibly much.
All day we just laid around the house and let out our emotions. Rylee decided that she still wanted to compete this weekend so we talked to cathy and she said she would give her a solo dedicated to Greg. The competition was going to be the day before greg's funeral. I know it's going to be really hard for Rylee.
That Saturday
It's competition day. Rylees had a really hard time today. She knows that tomorrow is the funeral and she just isn't ready to let him go. She's about to go on stage but she's been crying and i can't get her makeup on.
Kenzie:Rylee if you don't wanna compete you don't have to. Rylee:Yeah i do for Grandpa Greg. He loved to watch me dance and i know he'd be here if he could. He watching me from heaven though. Kenzie:Ok baby. Let me finish putting on your makeup then you need to get on stage
I finished her makeup then I went to sit with Johnny, Ryder,Ryland, my sisters, and my mom.
Announcer: Here's 297 Rylee with "I miss you"
Rylee bowed and walked off the stage crying. My entire family was crying. she did absolutely amazing. She got first. I was so proud. I couldn't have imagined a better tribute to Greg.
THE NEXT DAY
Today is the day of the funeral. I got up the kids and started getting them ready for the funeral. The girls wore matching pink dresses and Ryder wore a little baby tux. I wore a black dress and johnny wore a tux that matched Ryders. The Limo got to our house and we all got in. Rylee started crying almost immediately when she saw the hearse. I've never seen my child cry so much and I can't do anything to fix it. When we got to the church Johnny went and helped get the casket while i got all of the kids out. Maddie, Tate, and I tried to calm Rylee down but nothing worked. She was so distraught over this. After about 30 minutes we all headed inside. We got about half way through the funeral and It was time for speeches. My mom maddie and tate went first then it was my turn
Kenzie: Greg was a man that loved everyone. But his number ones since they day they were his grandchildren. Although they aren't biologically his grandchildren he has never treated them differently than if they were. This man raised me and my sisters as if we were his own. This man cared for me at the highest and lowest points in my life. I love you endlessly Greg. Rest In Peace.
Johnny: Well like my wife said...Greg was a man who loved everyone. Although he had his slight time with me when he was kind of mad because I got his 15 year old pregnant i knew he still loved me. He helped me through so much in these past 6 years. He's taught me how to love and accept everyone no matter what they've done. He's taught me how to be a good father but i'll never be half the father he was to Maddie,Mackenzie,and Tate. In the future i'll never be half the grandfather he was to Rylee, Parker, Ryder, Ryland, and would have been to the 4 new babies that will be here soon. He was really the most amazing man to walk this earth. you will be dearly missed Greg.
After all of the speeches were over we all went to the grave site and said our final goodbyes to greg. Everyone placed flowers on the casket. and then they lowered the casket and everyone started to leave. My mom maddie tate johnny the kids and i stayed for a little longer.
Melissa:I miss you so much baby Tate:We all do mom Maddie:Yeah Rylee:Why did my grandpa have to die Melissa:It's just the way of life Ry. It'll happen to everyone one day. Johnny:Yeah. We're gonna see him again one day Rylee. Kenzie:One day
We all cried at the grave for a while then we went back to the church where food was being served. They were playing Greg's favorite music and Rylee took Ryland to teach her some dances. She is only 4 months old and can't stand yet so Rylee just swung her around.

Today was really hard but it was amazing. Not one person had one bad thing to say about greg. I'm going to miss him dearly and i'm going to have to live my life without him. He's always going to be my dad even if he isn't here on earth with me. I'm not going to move on from his passing to quickly but i can't let it hurt me forever.
