JENNIE

It's our 26th month together and it's been half a year since I've moved here in Paris temporarily to study fashion while Lisa is studying photography in Korea.

Everything's been okay though it gets a little hard sometimes since this is the longest time we've spent away from each other. Despite my busy schedule between school and being a part time barista, I make sure I still have time to text her at certain times and somehow managed to video call her at night, that is if she's not asleep by the time I come home from work.

But today, I've decided to prank her. She used to do that all the time when we're together so I'm letting her have a taste of her own medicine.

I sat on my bed with my laptop between my legs waiting for her to pick up the call and when she did, I put on my b*tch face.

"Hey, love!" She answered.

"Don't hey me! Just because I'm miles away from you, you think I wouldn't know?" I started.

"W-what do you mean, b-baby?" She's nervous. I can see it already.

"You cheated on me." I let a tear roll down my cheek before I covered my face with both hands pretending to cry. God! I might be an actress in the future.

"I-I'm sorry Jen." I heard her say on the other line.

"What the f*ck did you say?"

"It doesn't mean a thing baby. I was super drunk. I didn't know. I'm sorry!" She started crying. "Please, baby?"

"You actually cheated on me." I said to myself. Wow! I'm shocked.

"I'm sorry baby. I love you."

"No, you don't!"

I felt like my whole world crumbled. It suddenly gets harder to breathe. It feels like I'm drowning and no one's gonna save me . . . .

"Jendeuki wake up!"

"What's the matter, Chu?"

"You were dreaming and you're crying," she said wiping the tears that I wasn't aware of. "What happened?"

"Just a nightmare, hon," I shrugged. "What time is it? I have to meet the brides-to-be for lunch." I hustled on the bed trying to avoid further questions when Jisoo gently grabs my hand.

"I'm coming with you."

"Hon, aren't you busy with the company? Meetings? I don't wanna bother you."

"I can make time hon. Think of it as a double date." She smiles at me.

"Now how can I say no to that?" I smiled back.

"You can't." She pulled me for a kiss. "Now go get ready. I'll make breakfast."

When we arrive at the café , Lisa was already there drinking her not-so-childish drink, chocolate milk, which she automatically put down the moment she notices us approaching and clumsily stood up.

"Hi!" I leaned as if to give her a kiss on the cheek and whispered. "Please don't be awkward."

"Yes! Hi!" She answered with an awkward grin.

"So Lisa, this is Jisoo."

"Her ex girlfriend," Jisoo butted in smiling offering a handshake while Lisa stood there confused.
