Flashback to the day of the suicide
"I cant do this anymore.."
Lia jumped. She jumped off that pedestrian bridge. (MelanieJones100i wasn't kidding sisterrrr)
SPLAT!! Blood everywhere.
Cars stopped.
People came running to the body.
People called 911.
Commotion happened.
"It's for the best.." Lia managed to say.
A single tear escaped Lia's face before she closed her eyes and exhaled her last breath.
Despite the situation, Lia suddenly felt fine. She stood up, "What? i thought I died?" She mumbled.
"You did." A voice said.
"What? Then How am I talking to y- AAAHH!!"
Lia saw a figure in front of her. BIG black wings, and red eyes. It scared her to death!
"Don't be scared, Lia. I'm the death angel, sent here to get the dead." The angel said, pointing to the ground.
Lia looked to where his fingers were pointing.
Her body.
"I am dead.... aren't I?"
The angel nodded, "However, you are not supposed to be dead yet.." the angel said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Lia asked, clearly confused.
"I see a splendid future, Miss Choi." The angel said. "I'm giving you a chance to live again."
"No please!! Take me with you.. I don't wanna live..." Lia begged.
"Fine. If that's what you want. But I follow orders, not create them. By three years, You need to get someone to kiss you. Only one person will get to see you. If you don't get that kiss in three years from now, you'll come back to life." The angel explained.
Lia stood there before asking, "How will I know who will see me?"
"That's what you have to discover." The angel said and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.
******** The day she met Soobin....
It was January 8th. Lia's mom's birthday (no its not yall its just for the sake of the story)
She remembered her mom. The person who she hated most. The one who abused her and called her names (tHiS iS fiCtiOnAL!)
Lia remembered her days when she was alive. She remembered new year parties and celebrations, watching fireworks and.... them.. her parents. the people who seems to like it if she was dead.
"You were Mistake!! You're such a disappointment, I wish you were never born!!"
Her own parents. Making fun of her and calling her names. Embarrassing her in front of everyone.. everywhere..
By the end of December, it'll be the three year mark. And Lia will go back to the human world.
Lia has that year to get that kiss. Or she will come back to life.
Her worse nightmare. Seeing them..
She is super eager to get that kiss. She wanted to leave.
So that day, she Reenact the scene she always does when there was a passerby.
Jumping off the bridge.
You can only die once. No matter how many time she jump off that bridge, she's already dead. She doesn't feel any pain.
Just as she was about to jump of the bridge again for who knows how many times already before...
"Miss!! What are you doing?!"
Finally. The guy she's been waiting for, Is finally there.
******* The day Soobin attempted to kiss her...
Lia has fallen in love with Soobin.
But she knows that she isn't alive.
She even attended her own funeral. Her parents didn't even come to her funeral. They knew she was dead. Probably rejoiced and celebrating about it i must say..
But despite that, because of Soobin, she wanted to live.
"If i dont get him to kiss me by the end of the year, I'll come back to life, and I can be with him.."
That was the first time, Lia wanted to be alive.
That is why that day, she refused the kiss.
"Its okay, Lia... Only till next year.." She keep telling herself.
******* The day Soobin kissed her.
She pushed him away, as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Binnie... You promised..." she cried.
"I'm sorry... I can't help it anymore.." Soobin said with guilt.
"I love you Choi Soobin... But this is goodbye.." Lia said, crying.
She ran down the pedestrian bridge.
"Miss Choi..." a voice said.
The death angel.
Lia nodded and allowed the angel to take her with him to the afterlife in tears.
