"Why?" He said in a conflicted tone. Mammon only looked back in confusion. "You aren't the type of person to risk your own life to protect someone else... so why?" Lucifer was now shaking ever so slightly. Mammon thought for a moment. "B'cuz I felt like it!" He exclaimed. Lucifer sighed and continued on with his questions. "Did either of you get a good look at the face of the demon who did this?" He directed this question at both Mammon and Y/N.  Y/N shook their head and began to speak. "They were wearing a mask so I..." Mammon cut in abruptly. "It was a human!..." There was only silence for what felt like an eternity. Mammon spoke again, this time he seemed on edge. "I think... I think it might have been the Demon Slayer!"

Y/N'S POV:

The room went silent. Lucifer's expression was like none I had ever seen before. It was a mixture of relief and utter despair. A few moments passed before Lucifer uttered a word. "I-I'm glad you're okay..." he said to Mammon, now appearing to be slightly calmer in comparison to a few moments ago. Lucifer took a breath before speaking again. "I should probably make Diavolo aware of the situation, Satan make sure our other brothers don't find out about this... Mammon needs time to rest, the others would only keep him up." Satan nodded as his eyes followed Lucifer across the room. "Oh and be sure to explain everything to Y/N, they deserve that much at least." With that final request, Lucifer exited the room, shutting the door gently behind him.

Satan turned back to face me and Mammon. He now wore a grim expression on his face and after a few moments of uncomfortable silence he began to explain. "The demon slayer..." (NOT BASED OFF THE ANIME, SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION) "...is a nefarious criminal who has been wondering the streets of the devildom killing demons. None of his victims have ever survived making you two the first." Satan turned to me with a small smile. "You're lucky Mammon was there to save you, you'd be a goner if he wasn't." He laughed to himself before speaking again. "Mammon may be a dunce and a total scumbag but despite that he's strong." Mammon cut in. "Hey! I'm right here ya know!" Satan laughed again at Mammon's reaction.

"You're wrong though..." Mammon said suddenly. "I'm not strong..." Satan turned to him, clearly surprised at what Mammon had just said. "I don't think I could have stood up to the Demon Slayer for longer than a few minutes... I thought I was fast but in the time it took me to jump in and grab Y/N I had already taken enough damage to put me out of the fight right there and then..." Mammon sighed. "All I did was grab Y/N and run." Satan had never seen Mammon doubt himself, it was a little unsettling. "And yet..." Satan said after a few moments. "Here you both are... alive!" I cleared my throat trying to push my nerves down before I spoke. "I... I was wondering..." I looked at Satan before I asked my question. "Mammon said that the Demon Slayer was human... I thought humans were powerless." Satan shook his head. "All humans have small preserves of power but some possess hidden strengths and abilities which make them quite the force to be recond with. I'm surprised though... a human can only discover that power if they have the assistance from either a demon or an angel." Satan stood up at this realisation and left the room swiftly muttering something under his breath.

3rd Person POV:

Ignoring Satan's sudden exit, Y/N steered their questioning towards Mammon. "Hey Mammon..." Y/N said, trying to get a response. Mammon gave a gentle 'mhm' in response so that Y/N knew he was listening. "D-do you think I have any hidden power?" Mammon's head pecked up at the question. "Well... I mean it's possible..." he said. "It's rare, but I guess it's possible..." Y/N suddenly took Mammon's hands in their own.

"Teach me!"
