Lost for Words

"Umm, okay." I whispered in response. "Only if you're sure." Belphie walked over to Lucifer, patting him on the shoulder and leading him out of the room. Once the door shut behind them there was an eerie silence. Eventhough it only lasted a moment, it felt like decades but the awkward silence was soon cut short when Mammon began to wake up.

Y/N's POV:

"Mammon!" Asmo yelled before pulling him into a tight hug. He was visibly agitated and pushed Asmo off almost instantly. "I thought you were gonna die!" He said dramatically before laughing to himself. "It's not funny." Mammon said with a serious tone. The room went quiet. Something was clearly wrong, I've never seen Mammon act this way.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Satan spoke gently to try and calm him down but Mammon only buried his face in his hands and sighed. There it was again, that dreaded silence...

"You know you can tell us anything Mammon." Satan said calmly. "I know we tend to tease alot but that doesn't mean we don't care about you and it shouldn't stop you from talking to us when something is wrong, okay?" Mammon nodded weakly in response, face still hidden in his hands.

He lifted his head and brought his hands to his side. He looked at every single one of us, still wearing that same serious expression, before speaking. "M-my healing abilities aren't working..." I was confused at first. I didn't know much about the demon brothers or their powers... (especially their powers) but the look of horror on Satan's face worried me.

Satan collected his thoughts before speaking again. "Has this ever happened before Mammon?" He shook his head. Satan patted Mammon on the shoulder, "everything's going to sort itself out" he said calmly. "I'll speak with Lucifer and talk about when we're going to take action." Mammon looked away, still upset. "What if my powers don't come back?" His voice was trembling at this point. "They will! For now rest up, it's going to be a while before anything happens. Lucifer is extremely careful, and you know that, there'll be plenty of time to rest."

As soon as Satan finished his sentence the door swung open and Belphie walked in. "Okay! Lucifer and I spoke and we've decided that we're going ahead with the plan tonight!"Lucifer followed shortly after, nodding the verify this. Shock filled the room. "Well?!? What are you all standing around for, there's alot of work to be done!" Belphie yelled. "Now I'm going to sleep, everything better be sorted when I wake up!"

I guess Satan was wrong... the plan is going ahead much sooner than we anticipated.
