I woke up on the floor as the door slammed open. I heard yells and screams and the one man jerked me up.

"Come on," he ordered. I ran with him, still in a daze. I screamed as he pushed me back. One of the other men fell at our feet, missing his head. I looked up and took a deep breath.

It was Geralt. He was there, standing in the dark corridor.  He swung his sword and stared in all fury at the man gripping my arm.

"Let her go..." he seethed.

The man did and I swallowed. No, this wasn't what I wanted. How did they find us? Why were they here? The answers were all too clear.

The man yelled a form of battle cry as he charged towards the Witcher. I decided to take my leave as I knew whoever this soldier was wouldn't last a second. I ran down some dark steps and tried to get away as far as I could from the Witcher.

"Sandy?" I heard his voice resonate within the halls.

I ignored it and kept running. I saw a light at the end of the tunnel I was in and headed straight towards it. If there was one thing I was good at, it was running. And I wasn't about to stop. My heartbeat was fast as I heard heavy footsteps behind me. I cast a glance to see the Witcher running towards me. Suddenly loud metal clanging was heard as men appeared in the tunnels and charged the Witcher. Another opportunity to getaway.

I turned right and carried on. The dark hallways were starting to get lighter, and chaos rang throughout this dark castle-like building. Evidently the guardians were there because I could hear Merlin's faint enchanting, and clanging of swords. I jumped as the sound of a gunshot rang through. That must be Dean.

Just then one of Valentine's soldiers appeared in front of me. I screamed as he pushed me against the wall and held me to my throat.

"Thinking of escaping huh?" the man seethed, and I gave a gasp and gurgle.

Something roared behind us, and just as the man was on me he was slammed against the wall. I heard a sickening crack. I stared at Derek, who's face transformed back to human. I swallowed.

"Stay away from me..."  I cried out.

"Sandy..." Derek spoke. He took a step closer.

"Stay away from me!" I screamed. I don't know what came over me. All I knew was I just saw a man get decapitated, another now broke his spine, and the deep dark truth of the guardians that hung on my neck like a chained terror. I struck at him, striking his chest. He didn't even flinch.

"Calm down, we're here to rescue you..."

"Get away from me!" I just frantically punched his chest. Suddenly Derek grabbed my arm spun me around and grabbed the other arm. He held me against him, and I couldn't move. I tried. I really did, but his arms formed an x over mine, and trying to beat a werewolf through brute strength I guess wasn't going to work. I cried out and screamed, and Derek just held me firmly against him. I felt his breath on my neck as he tried to gain control over me. He suddenly bent down and I was also on the floor.

"Breath," he ordered and I obeyed. I took a deep breath. I needed to get a grip. There was no way I was getting out of this through an emotional breakdown...or maybe it was. I couldn't let them know that I knew the truth, but how am I now supposed to explain my fleeing from the Witcher, and my attack on Derek?

I allowed the tears to come. If they believed I was simply terrified out of my mind...they wouldn't suspect anything...would they?

"What's wrong?" Geralt's voice rang behind us. I couldn't see him, because Derek still had a firm grip on me.

My shoulders started shaking, and Derek released his grip on me. He pulled my hair out of the way, and shivers ran down my spine as he slowly rubbed my back.

"She's terrified..." Derek answered. "You're gonna be ok...you're safe now...."

I only kept crying. I knew what Derek said was a total and utter lie. They were going to take me straight into danger. They didn't actually care. However, it was a little harder to believe me as Derek held me tightly and kept stroking my back. Soon, however, he stopped and lifted my face to meet his. Gosh, he was beautiful, but also so deadly.

"We need to leave," he said, and I nodded. He helped me up, and looked at Geralt.

"Get her out of here...I need to meet with Arthur and Merlin, to make sure Valentine hasn't escaped...keep her safe..."

I looked to see Geralt nod. "I will." He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, and I followed him back down the deep dark corridor. I swallowed hard.

"You're safe now," Geralt reassured me, and I only nodded. My own words would probably betray me now. Besides, if there is anything good about the Witcher, was that he didn't talk a lot. And... he didn't expect much conversation either.

But my mind was abuzz. I'd have to play the terrified damsel in distress. I'd have to play the part sorely now. They couldn't know that I am planning to escape again. Escape and find a way home. And this time, I'd have to be smarter.

I wasn't planning on getting caught this time.
