Meet Me in Another Life (On Hold)

Chapter 5

"Titus!" I shouted while running up to a man, around his twenty's. Black long hair, tied in a low ponytail.

"Lauren?" Titus asked in surprise "I thought you'd stay busy till late in the afternoon."

"Oh well, I got my dress finished a bit earlier than expected." I said.

"Can you show it to me?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"The whole look or just the dress?"

He thought for a bit. "The whole look, if you'd want to do that for me."

"Sure!" I said with a smile.

"TITUS DON'T LEAVE ME!" I shouted at Titus with tears in my eyes. His head was on my lap, I knew there wasn't much I could do.

Titus got shot with a poisoned arrow, he was slowly dying because of it.

"Lauren... Please leave me... Flee from the soldiers..." He said weakly.

"No don't talk! You'll drain you're energy!"

"Lauren... I won't survive this... You know.. it."

Tears start to roll down my cheeks.

"Lauren... Please meet me..." He stopped talking for a bit to try to keep conciousness

"Meet you where?!"

"Meet me... In another... Life..." His life is slowly fading away.

I've got to perform the spell, I won't know if it'll work or not, but that doesn't matter.

I put my hand on his chest. "We'll meet..." I start to cast the spell "In another life."

I shoot up in my bed.

Was I dreaming? What kind of dream was that? Who was that Titus man? Why was I crying because of him? And WHY was my name Lauren?!

I kept on stressing until... There was a knock on my door.

I quickly got dressed and went downstairs. I opened the door to see Melissa.

"Goodmorning Rose!" She said cheerfully.

"Uhm, goodmorning Melissa?" I'm still a bit tired.

"I was wondering if we could talk for a bit. You know, getting to know each other."

I thought for a bit. "Uhm well, sure, I guess."

In Tegelaris
"High Priest Alistair, the information reached Melissa and Milo. They seem to have seen a girl who looks almost exactly like the girl in the paintings. The girl claims to be a woman called Rose. Melissa is investigating her right now." One of Alistair's Head Guards said.

"It seems that Anastasia is closer than we thought. If Melissa doesn't get al the needed information from this Rose, then I'll go to Fall Drop myself." Alistair said with an evil smirk.

A paper scroll with a purple ribbon on it appears in front of the Head Guard and the Head Guard grabbed the scroll.

"I can see it's from Melissa." Alistair said "What does it say?"

"Melissa thinks Rose is hiding something about herself. She doesn't trust her completely."

"Looks like I'll head there myself then." Alistair's smirk gets even bigger "Tell Melissa and Milo that I'll be on my way to Fall Drop tomorrow. If everything goes to plan, I'll arrive the next day. I'll be going there without any guards."

"Wouldn't it be dangerous if you went there by yourself?" The Head Guard asked out of worry.

"No worries. I've trained for a long time, I'm able to protect myself. And if I went there with any guard, my cover would be blown. I have to get her to trust me, or else I won't get her to tell anything."

"That is true. I'll send it to Melissa and Milo as soon as possible."

Back to Fall Drop
"So what do you want to do today, Rose?" Daniel asked me.

"Uhmm, I think I'll just explore the village for a bit." I answered.

"Would you like to have someone with you, for if you get lost?"

"I think I'll be fine, thanks anyway." I gave him a smile.

"Alright, if you need me I'll be with Zero at the docks." After he said that he left.

I went to the house of the old Lord. It's mostly broken down.

I lay on the grass in the little garden, if I can still call it that. I take a deep breath, closing my eyes...

"Lauren, you... you look like a Goddess!" Titus said looking at my outfit in disbelieve "How did you do al this in just a few hours?!"

"It really isn't that beautifull, you're overreacting!" I said giggling "It really wasn't that hard to make."

"How can you say that when you're looking so beautifull?!" I start to blush.

Once Titus realized what he said, he started to blush also.

"You know, I want to make a promise with you." He said, still blushing.

"What is it?" I ask.

"I want to learn a spell, together with you. It's actually a forbidden spell, but I think it'd be worth it." He said.

"You mean the spell that should be able to reïncarnate the two people that learned the spell together when one of the two casts it?" I ask.

"Yeah, that spell. I mean, if you don't want to it's absolutely fine."

I giggle a bit "I'd love to."

My eyes shot open. Melissa and Milo are standing next to me. Melissa checks if I'm awake.

"Well, good afternoon sleepy head." Melissa said.

"Is it noon already?" I asked.

"Yep, we were just exploring the village for a bit. Then we saw you laying here on the grass. We thought somethig was wrong so we came to check up on you, but you were only sleeping." She said, giving me a smile.

I sigh.

"So what were you dreaming about?" Melissa asked.

"Oh it's uhm, nothing." I said.

I don't want to tell anything about my dreams, until I can figure out why my name in those dreams is Lauren. And why there keeps on being a boy called Titus.

"Not much of a dreamer, huh." Melissa laughed a bit "C'mon, we'll get back to the village."

She helped me up and we walked back to the village. The whole time, Milo kept inspecting me, I don't like it one bit.
