Chapter 10: Jinx's True Colors

The silver moon glowed in the night. Sunpaw was sleeping in the apprentice den when he woke up and saw Jinx. 

He was walking toward the leader's den. Sunpaw's tail puffed up. He quickly got up and blocked Jinx's path.

"Move out of the way, you feather-brain." Jinx growled. "I know your secrets, Jinx." Sunpaw growled. 

"What secrets?" Jinx asked in a sly voice. Sunpaw hissed at Jinx. "You killed Maplepaw."

"Oh did I?" Jinx sneered. He then pinned Sunpaw to the ground and pawed at the apprentice's throat, causing Sunpaw to choke. 

Mustn't give up! Sunpaw thought. He immediately bit Jinx's foreleg. Jinx immediately let go and Sunpaw rolled over to get up.

Sunpaw's tail swished in anger. "Leave MistClan. Now!" Sunpaw growled. "Who's going to make me?"

Meanwhile the growling woke Coalstar up. He heard everything.

Once again, Jinx pinned Sunpaw to the ground and hissed. "Once you die, I will kill your precious leader and his deputy.

Jinx's threat was loud enough for Coalstar to hear.

Coalstar froze in horror at the entrance of his den. "You were planning to kill me, Thrushwing, and Sunpaw!?" Coalstar sounded enraged.

The color drained from Jinx's face. Riverpaw and Graypaw got up. They looked horrified.

"Jinx, you are banished from MistClan!" Coalstar hissed. Everyone else woke up.

MistClan watched Jinx leave camp. "Go ahead, exile me for all I care. You haven't seen the last of me..."

"Wow... I guess Rosepaw was right about Jinx." Graypaw sighed.
