My first ball
I don't want to be here at all
But I don't complain
My father's wishes must be obeyed
My gown a baby blue
"You need to find a suitor soon"
I'd roll my eyes but that'd be rude
Princess Valkyrie of Kingdom Pthfou
My eyes fleet to yours from across the room
I look down meekly, no it's too soon
Suddenly you were walking towards me
My breath in short gasps
I can't seem to breathe
"Princess Valkyrie, may I have this dance?"
His voice warm, smooth, dangerous
My father in the distance giving an approving glance
My heart imploding at the sight of this handsome stranger
Waltzing across the ballroom floor
Spinning, spinning, spinning some more
A crescent moon tattooed to his wrist
That somehow I kind of want to kiss
My senses overloading I don't know what to think
Everything is too bright I really need a drink
Time slows down and seems to stop
He lets go, his arms drop
He looks off to the side, a bit distraught
Then leaves me there arms outstretched, hands empty
A scream echoes through the room
Hooded figures flooding in
Traveling in swarms, knocking over guests, commotion, chaos
Each dispersing with a King's Crown
I try to stop them, but there are too many.
Which one of them is real?
It's so suffocating
I can't see
One of them bumps into me
I looked him right in the eye
That dazzling dangerous sapphire blue
Thieves
He was a thief
A pirate
Stealing my father's crown
Stealing my heart
As I walk onto the balcony
The soft wind is sighing
Peering up at the beautiful night sky
And in the midst of speckled stars I see
The shining crescent moon
