I woke up in my dorm but today was special. It was spring break. "Leah what are you doing this spring break?" She mumbled "I'm gonna go to Canada to visit my friends. How about you?"
"I'm gonna go back home to see my family" I told her. "That's so sweet!" She said and I smiled before going back to my room and packing. I was ready and booked my flight. I said goodbye to Leah and gave her heaps of hugs. I said goodbye to Isaac, kristy and jasper. Tommy walked over to me with his hands in his pockets. "See you later midget" he said. "Shut up Tommy!" I laughed at him and hugged him. "Stay safe. See you soon" he said and I hopped into the car and drove to the airport.

I finally got off the plan and walked over to a taxi. I got in and we drove to my town. I payed the guy and walked towards my family's house. There was black Jeep parked outside. I knocked on the door and then out walked my sister. She started screaming in excitement. I smiled widely and hugged her. My brother, mother and dad all came and hugged me. "I'm so happy to see you!" My mum said. "I've missed you guys so much" I told them all. They all smiled. I hugged them all again. We walked into the living room and my mum said "hunny we have some guests..." I looked up and standing there was griffin and his family. I felt my face get hot and knew I had to get out of there. "Excuse me.." I said turning away and ran out of the house. I sat down on the bench outside. Why was he here? I came back for my family not him! "Hey..." someone said nervously. It was Griffin. He sat next to me and I avoided eye contact. "How's Princeton?"
"It's great" I said bluntly. He was the last person I wanted to see. "Listen y/n, I just want to be friends. It's been ages since we've seen each other. We've both changed a lot. I just hope you can forgive me.." he said. Just then a female voice said "Griff where are you?" The girl came outside and saw us and smiled at me. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and fake tan on. "Y/n, this is my girlfriend jasmine. We go to college together" my heart shattered once again and I did my best to control the tears. "That's great news. Listen I've got to go. I'm actually going back to college tomorrow morning. I just wanted to say hi to my family" Griffin looked hurt by that news. I didn't care about griffin or his new girlfriend. There were way better guys at my college. Like Tom and jasper. They were both sweet, athletic and my best friends. I got up and said goodbye before going to my car and driving to the park.

I sat in my car and let the tears flow. Why did I even bother with Griffin? He wasn't worth my time. I wiped the tears away and drove back home. Griffins family was gone so I went back inside. "Hey. I'm sorry we didn't realise you were coming home" Kayla said. "It's okay. It doesn't matter" I said. She hugged me and said "tell me about your college life" and I started telling her about all my friends and everything. I couldn't wait to leave this place and get away from Griffin.
