Thunder and lightning

It was the next day. Both Tamu's parents were still asleep so he tried waking them up. He has hoping up and down and jumping on his parents.
Tamu: come on. Wake up, wake up. We're gonna be late.
Heshima: what's the rush. And how do you know we'll be late.
Tamu: I'm just excited for you to meet her, and I'll know we'll be late cause you guys are sleeping heads.
Baridi:*grabs Tamu and brings him down for a hug* we'll I'm wide awake now.
Tamu: hehehe dad let me go.
Baridi: ok, lets go see your friend.
Tamu: yay!
Tamu and his parents left there cave and started heading to Tamu and Tumani's playing area.

Over at Tumani's cave, she was trying to sneak out so that her parents wouldn't come. She was almost out of the cave when she heard her mother.
Hatima: and where are you going.
Tumani: (nervously) nowhere
Hatima: tell you what, your fathers still asleep, so how about we leave at let him meet Tamu another time.
Tumani:(slightly angry) fine.
Tumani and her mother left the cave and started heading to Tumani and Tamu's play place.

Both family's arrived at the place at the same time. The 2 cubs named the place the playground. It had 3 big trees that they could climb, big tall grass that the cubs could hide in, and a small watering hole that they could drink from and splash each other. No other animals come there because it's far from other animals, but right next to there caves.

When they saw each other Tamu and Tumani ran to each other and start playing pinned ya. By the time there parents got to them Tumani had already pinned Tamu.
Hatima: Tumani?
Tumani: what?
Hatima looked at Tumani then looked a Tamu.
Tumani: right, mom this is Tamu, Tamu this is my mom Hatima.
Tamu: nice to meet you.
Hatima: nice to meet you to, I've heard so much about you.
Tamu: these are my parents, Baridi and Heshima.
Tumani: nice to meet you.
Baridi: it's nice to meet you too.
Heshima: yes, like Hatima, we've heard a lot about you.
Tumani: well now that we've met each other, Tamu, you wanna play tag.
Tamu: sure, who's it.
Tumani: *tags Tamu's shoulder* your it.
Tumani started running away
Tamu: hehe hey no fair.
Tamu started running after Tumani.
Hatima: ooh the energy of youth.
Baridi: so does Tumani have any other friends.
Hatima: no, all day she just goes on and on about her best friend Tamu and how great he is. What about Tamu.
Heshima: no, like Tumani, he just talked about his best friend and how fun she is.
Baridi: so, where's her father.
Hatima: he was sleeping so we left with out him.
Heshima: shame, I would have liked to meet him.
Hatima: actually, Jeuri is a little, ... well, rude.
Baridi: he can't be that bad can he.
Hatima: there's a reason Tumani didn't want us to come. What about you, did Tamu what you to come.
Heshima: it's was his idea, We're so lucky to have a son that loves us so much.

Over by the grass, Tumani was chasing Tamu.
Tumani: you can't run forever Tami.
Tamu: you know I don't like that nickname
Tumani: come on, I like calling you that.
Tamu: fine, then I'll call you,... Um.
Tumani: you got nothing *tags Tamu*
Tamu: I'll call you Ani.
Tumani: I like that.
Tamu: you wanna climb the tree.
Tumani: sure Tami.
Tamu: (slight annoyed) first one to the top wins.
Tumani: what does the winner get.
Tamu: the looser has to do what the winner says for 3 days.
Tumani: oh your on.
Tamu: 3
Tumani: 2
Tamu: 1
Tumani: go
Both cubs ran up the tree as fast as they could. Tumani was in the lead but she slipped and fell. She managed to hold on to a branch that was A little of the ground. Tamu reached the top first and started bragging.
Tamu: haha looks like I win.
Tumani: good for you. I would have won if I didn't slip.
Tamu hopped down from the top and went on the branch that Tumani was hanging on.
Tamu: you a little stuck, Ani.
Tumani: a little, can I get some help Tami.
Tamu: please stop with that name.
Tumani: never.
Tamu: fine then, have it your way.
Tamu gently poked Tumani in the armpit pit.
Tumani: hahahahaha *lets go of the branch and falls*
Tamu: oh my god! Are you ok!
Tumani: yeah, just hurt my leg a bit, but I'll be fine Tami.
Tamu: *hopes down from the tree* well sense i won, the first thing I want to do is meet your dad.
Tumani: what. No you don't want to do that.
Tamu: why not
Tumani: did I every tell you what happened to my last friend.
Tamu: no.
Tumani: her and I were really close, she met my dad and she never spoke to me again. And I've been scared to have friends sense.
Tamu: Tumani there is nothing your dad could say or do that would make me not want to be your friend.
Tumani: (sadly) I can't take the chance. I'm sorry.
Tamu: well it's either you let me meet him or we spend the next 3 days with me tickling you.
Tumani: fine, how about we ask your parents if I can spend the night with you. The after, you spend the night at my cave.
Tamu: really I'll go ask my mom now.
Tamu helped Tumani to her feat and ran to talk to his mom.
Tamu: hey mom, can Tumani spend the night with us.
Heshima: only if it's ok with Hatima.
Hatima: of course.
Tumani: hey mom, can Tamu spend the night with us tomorrow.
Hatima: only if it's ok with them.
Baridi: of course
Tumani: can I come over later
Heshima: sure.
Both family's went back to there caves
Hatima: sweetie, are you sure it's a good idea for Tamu to meet your father.
Tumani: no but, Tamu and I made a bet and now he wants to meet my dad.
Hatima: when I talked with his parents they told me that he loves spending time with his parents.
Tumani: I just really hope we stay friends.
Tumani: love you mom.
Hatima: love you to sweetie.
Tumani started to head for Tamu's cave.

Over at Tamu's cave.

Baridi: are you excited for tonight.
Tamu: yeah, it gonna be so cool.
Heshima: so, are you gonna sleep with us tonight or next to Tumani.
Tamu: I guess I'll sleep across from her.
Heshima: aren't you gonna be scared of the dark.
Tamu: (scared voice) don't scare me.
Baridi: ooh I'm the cuddle monster, I'm gonna get you. *runs after Tamu*
Tamu: hehe you'll never get me *runs from his dad*
Baridi caught Tamu and started hugging him.
Tamu: haha stop.
Baridi: aww but your so cute. *lets go of Tamu*
Tamu: thanks
Tumani: hey Tamu.
Tamu: hey Tumani. You wanna play pinned ya.
Tumani: oh your on.
Tamu and Tumani played for a while as Tamu's parents watched.
Heshima: (whispers in Baridi's ear) looks like there having a good time.
Baridi: (whispers back) yeah, I just hope what we heard about Tumani's father isn't all true.
After about 30 minutes Heshima sent them to bed.
Heshima: aright, time for bed.
Tamu: come on mom, 5 more minutes, I'm only 3 away from winning.
Heshima: sorry, but the earlier you go to bed the more time you have to play tomorrow.
Tumani: she's right. But for now, looks like I win Tami.
Baridi: Tami?
Tamu: despite my disliking it, it's my nickname.
Baridi: it fits you.
Tamu's parents went to sleep in there corner. Tumani lied down about 7 feet from Tamu's parents, and Tamu lied down across from Tumani.
Tamu: good night mom good night dad.
Baridi: good night, "Tami"
Heshima: good night sweetie.
Tamu: goodnight Ani
Tumani: goodnight Tami.
Tamu closed his eyes, he had been dreading this all day, he had always slept with his parents, but now, he felt so scared he started shaking.
He looked over at Tumani, she was almost sleeping, but was still awake.
Tamu thinking: ok, ok, I can do this, it's not the end of the world, I'll survive.

A few minutes later a thunderstorm started.
Tamu: ok this isn't that bad.

(Lightning)
(Thunder)
Tamu: (starts shaking) eek.
Tamu looked over at Tumani, she was shaking.
Tamu: (whispers) hey Tumani, you ok.
Tumani: (shaking) huh, umm, well.

(Lightning)
(Thunder)

Tumani: eeek!
Tumani covered her head with her paws.
Tamu got up and walked over to her then lied down beside her.
Tamu: you sure your ok.
Tumani: (shaking) yeah.
Tamu put his arm on her back and brought her closer to him.
Tamu: (softly) no your not.
Tumani: (softly) no I'm not. I'm afraid of lightning and thunder.
Tamu: it's ok, I'm afraid of the dark.
Tumani: (slightly crying) really, then how do you sleep at night.
Tamu: I normally sleep with my parents, but I wanted, to.
Tumani: to what,
Tamu: be close to you.
Tumani: aww Tami, that's so nice,
(Lightning)
(Thunder)
Tumani: eeek!
Tumani jumped up and hugged Tamu and buried her face in Tamu's chest.
There was an awkward moment of silence before Tumani slowly moved away.
Both cubs were blushing.
Tumani: (softly) sorry, I would normally only do that to my mom.
Tamu: (softly) it's ok. I'm .. just gonna move a bit over there.
Tamu scooted over 4 feet away from Tumani.
Tumani: I'm sorry Tamu, I was just afraid.
Tamu: sorry, it's just a bit awkward.
Tamu lied down and went to sleep.
Tumani then tried to shut her eyes.
Then the brightest biggest and loudest lightning bolt struck.
(Crack!)
Tumani: ahh!
Tumani started sobbing.
Tamu looked over and saw that his best friend was in tears.
Tamu swallowed his pride and walked up to Tumani.
Tamu: I'm sorry Tumani. You need me to be with you.
Tumani nodded and continued to cry.
Tamu: it's ok, I'll be hear until you fall asleep.
Tamu lied down right next to Tumani and put his arm over her.
Tumani: (quietly) thank you.
Tamu: goodnight Ani.
Tumani: goodnight Tami,
Tamu: you know, I'm starting to warm up to that name.
Tumani: good, cause I'm keep calling you that.
Tamu: looks like I'm thunder and your lightning.
Tumani: what do you mean.
Tamu: I'm loud and proud, you shine and light up the night. But both need each oth
