"You son of a bitch!" Clarke shouts in anger, pushing Murphy slightly. The camp quickly falls silent as it always does when things started to get heated. She holds up his knife. "Recognize this?"

He pauses to look at it before nodding. "It's my knife. Where'd you find it?" He reaches for it, but she pulls it away before he could touch it.

"Where you dropped it after you killed Wells," she retorts.
"Where I what?" He asks, confusion falling onto his features. "The grounders killed Wells, not me."

Zarah steps forward with her eyebrows knitted. She seems more interested now than ever. To her side is Bellamy, his arms crossed as he stares at his friend being accused.

"I know what you did, and you're gonna pay for it," Clarke threatens lowly.

"Really?" He asks in a taunting tone. "Bellamy, you really believe this crap?" He doesn't get a response.

"You threatened to kill him. We all heard you. You hated Wells," she begins to lay out the facts to show she has more proof than just a knife.

"Plenty of people hated Wells," he points out. "His father was the Chancellor that locked us up."

"Yeah, but you're the only one who got in a knife fight with him," Clarke shouts.
"Yeah, I didn't kill him then, either."

Octavia decides to jump in with even more proof, "Tried to kill Jasper, too."

Murphy's lips curl up in amusement with a bit of annoyance. "This is ridiculous. I don't have to answer to you. I don't have to answer to anyone."

"Come again?" Bellamy asks, his chin tilted up to show some authority.

"Bellamy, look, I'm telling you, man. I didn't do this," he assures his friend. Zarah believes him. As much as she hates the teen, she knows when someone was lying, and he isn't.

"They found his fingers on the ground with your knife," the Blake replies.

"Is this the kind of society that we want? You say there should be no rules. Does that mean that we can kill each other without punishment?" Clarke calls out, turning to look at the juveniles crowded around.

"I already told you," Murphy cuts in with a glare. "I didn't kill anyone."

"I say we float him!" One teen is heard from the crowd. Almost everyone is agreeing.
