✨Jordan's pov ✨
Jamal and mom were arguing about whether i should tag along with Jamal to his Ruby's house.
"So she can't can aleast have some people to know starting high school!"
my mom said, a tad bit annoyed.
Jamal is a sophomore, and I am freshman.
I kinda don't mind being alone. It's peaceful and drama free, but my mom hates it.
She always says i'm going to turn into a weirder version of Jamal.
I look at them to see if they are almost done arguing.
At this point you can tell Jamal is giving up at arguing with our very stubborn mother.
So he just agrees and storms out the house.
As i put my shoes on to follow him.
My mom stops me, "If anything goes wrong just call me okay?"
she says with a soften face. I roll my eyes sarcastically.
" I know mom, plus Jamal is too much of a scaredy-cat to let anything happen to me" I say with a smirk.
She laughs at my joke, kisses me on the forehead and walks out.
I let out a sigh, Parents can be so dramatic sometimes.
I walk out the house and try to catch up with jamal.
"thanks for waiting for me" I say with a smile sarcastically once again.
He smiles back and starts walking faster. As they were walking to Ruby's house
Jamal starts giving me a lecture, about not embarrassing him and not to do anything unsafe.
To which I zone out through basically all of it, after a few minute of Jamal's nonsense lecture I realize we arrived at Ruby's house.
I run up to the door to finally get away from my rambling brother.
"Hey!" he says trying to catch up.
Whose was waiting on who, now Jay" I say smirking.
I knock on the door, and after a few seconds Monse opens the door and gets excited.
"Jordan!" she screams and starts hugging her.
Monse and me have always been close, Monse was like one of my best friends...well only friend really but she still means a lot to me.
" Hey bestie!" i say back eager to tell Monse all about summer camp.
During the summer I spent a few weeks at summer camp.
My parent wanted to become more social and out there for me starting high school.
So they thought it would be a good idea.
I mean it was decent but not mildly life changing, as Monse ever so nicely puts her experience at her summer school.
Before she could say anything Ruby comes out with a confused look on his face.
probably wondering why there's so much noise coming from his living room, We know this because he asked in a confused tone, "why is there so much noise coming from the living room".
Monse just rolls her eyes and let's go of me.
when she does ruby instantly stares at my body and looks at me up and down with shock and lust in his eyes.
I just stand there confused at first, as too why he was staring at me like that.
I mean did I have something on my face? Because if I did, I got some fake ass people in my life for not telling me.
Then it hits me, He might have liked what he saw.
I mean I might seem a little cocky but, the way he was staring at my body.
I mean this has to be the only explanation for that stare.
I've always had a crush on ruby, but i never said anything thing because we really didn't know each other.
Well yeah, he was my brother's best friend, but aside from all the hey's and bye's when he came over we didn't really talk that much.
I snap out of my thoughts when monse says "you can stop eye raping her now Ruby, you're scaring her".
This catches my brothers attention who was already in the kitchen with abuelita talking about some other nonsense.
It was probably about RollerWorld, Jamal talks about non-stop from time to time.
And sometimes i hear him talking to some girl named Juanita.
Ruby interrupts my thoughts as he quickly snaps out of his gaze and says to monse.
"i- i was not!" he says embarrassed.
"Were too!" Monse says with a really bitch face.
I giggle causing him to look at me.
Before he could get anything out to defend himself, Monse just rolls her eyes and pull me to the couch so we could talk about stuff over the summer.
As i'm telling Monse about the people I met at camp.
Ruby starts to walk to the kitchen and i catch him looking at me.
but he instantly looks away once he notices.
Weird i thought to myself...

Me and Monse catch up since we haven't seen each other all summer.
We talk about our experiences in summer and how social we slowly started to become.
After a while I just could take it anymore, I ask her if I had anything on my face.
She looks at me with weird face then shakes her head no. "Then why was ruby looking at me like that".
I asked with a confused look on my face.
She then looks at me like i was dumb.
"what" i say after a few seconds of this.
"YOU HAD A MAJOR GLOW UP GIRL" I put my hand over my chest acting offend. She looks at me and says "i didn't mean it like that".
she drags me to the bathroom and makes me look mirror.
I finally look at me self and see i have changed.

Thanks to all those activities at camp.
My face was still the same but less fatter.
After I look for aleast a minute, the only word that could come out my mouth was "woah".
I looked at her we both started laughing. As we finally stopped monse phone started ringing.
I looked at the caller id and it said Ceaser. I look at her and smirk, "okay go get you're man boo."
She rolls her eyes and starts walking away giggling.
You could not tell me that Monse and Ceasar didn't have anything going on.
Especially the way they look at each other.
I knew this instantly when I first met jamal's friends.
It was at Monse's birthday party.
I start to smile to myself as i think about the memory of me and ruby first meeting each other.
He showed me all over monse's house, giving me all the pointers of the do's and don'ts of monse.
It basically seemed that he liked her, so i asked him and he looked at me like i was insane.
"what" i ask finally, " i just really like talking to you" he says.
we stare at each other there's was so much tension in the air.
we were about to lean in, but then Monse's dad comes in and gathers us to sing happy birthday.
If i knew what the word cock block was i would've said it to him honestly.
But while we were singing me and ruby weren't just looking at each other.
But then the next time i saw ruby he was talking to some random girl in the fifth grade and i kinda just stopped liking him.
After i'm done with my memory I head over to the kitchen to get a snack.
And noticed ruby looking at me I try to ignore him by looking in the cabinets.
Abuelita notices me, "There's no snacks in there niña, la dama solo va de compras cada luna azul"
She says with an annoyed voice. I laugh as i go back to the couch.
But as I go I hear some one say "h- hey Jordan!"
I turn around and see ruby i smile "Hey dude!" i say while doing a little wave.
He smiles back, But then he starts staring down towards my chest area.
Confused, I look down in the same area.
After a while I get what he's looking at and at that moment all i could do was blush.
thank god for melanin because without it everybody could tell my cheeks were on fire!
I then give him a nod goodbye and walk back to the couch to play on my phone.
The hell was that I think to myself.

I was in my room just chilling when I heard Monse screaming along with some other noise
I tried to ignored but they just got louder.
I walk out of my room to see monse suffocating this short black girl, from what i can see at least.
"why is there so much noise coming from the living room" I ask.
monse lets go of the girl revealing the most prettiest girl i've ever seen.
she was short and curvy and her skin looked like smooth milk chocolate.
Her body was too perfect, And her face was pretty too.
She had a this baby face with dimples.
Her eyes were like dark chocolate chips with silky short eyelashes.
Monse let her go and she fixed her clothes.

I look back up to her face and I realized it was Jordan?!
It was Jamal's little sister, I was shocked but really i wasn't.
Jordan has always been pretty to me she just never really opened up to me.
Which was cool but I always wanted to have a conversation, just like at Monse's Birthday.
That night was.... something, but when i tried to talk to Jordan again she completely shut me out and just treated me like a stranger.
Hey's and Bye's is all I got from Jordan but you gotta work with what you got.
I was caught out of my thoughts when monse told me too stop eye raping her.
I look up instantly and glare at monse.
" I- I was not!" I say stuttering because it caught me off guard.
which cause jordan too giggle her laugh was sounded cute.
It sounded like a baby laughing almost.
I was caught out of my trance when monse grabs her and makes her sit on the couch.
They started talking and I walk over to the kitchen but not without glimpsing at Jordan.
She notices my second glance and i look away and speed walk to the kitchen.
When i'm in the kitchen I her giggle and turn around to see her grin.
Her smile was so angelic. I had to get away from this girl before i lose my mind.
I walk over to Jamal and Abuelita side of then kitchen and see them staring at me.
"What" I say a bit confused and agitated.
They both shrug and go back to doing what they were doing.
I shrug it off and went back to making my snack.
Well if there was any food, My mom needs to get back from costco before we all starve.
I hear Monse and Jordan walk into the bathroom and after a while monse comes out talking on the phone.
She opens the front door to talk outside.
After Monse leaves I see Jordan trail
out after her.
I stiffen up while pouring my ceral as she walks in the kitchen.
after she walking into the kitchen, i sneak a few glimpses at her.
she see's me on my second glance.
but goes back to what she was doing.
She looks in the cabinet and try's to find some food.
Abuelita says something smart about mom lack of groceries runs to the store.
She giggle at my grandmothers joke.
And her laugh was cuter than last time you could tell- damnit ruby get it together.
I mentally face palm myself but something else catches my attention.
Something that i'm pretty sure gave me a boner right then and there.
I saw Jordan's side boob.
It didn't seem like a big deal.
But she was wearing a tank top.
And it showed all of Jordan's side boob.
I was really gonna have a hard time around this girl if she was gonna look like this everytime I see her.

"Hey tomorrow we should all hangout" I say while looking at Jamal and Monse.
I notice Jordan just kinda stares at the floor awkwardly.
"Including Ceasar... and maybe Jordan?" I say with a hint of shyness.
Everybody turns their heads towards her and she smiles and nods "Sure, why not" said said.
I smile and say cool and she smiles and walks out with her brother.
this is going to be a interesting year I thought to my self.

So I hope that wasn't too cringe worthy for you guys 😓. Also some things I wanna say before I progress into the story. Olivia Doesn't exist in this story for multiple reasons 😬. And I'm writing this book based on season two. And I don't really wanna be that person. But it would really help me out if you guys would vote my book. I'm not gonna guilt trip you or anything 😂.
