Chapter 2: Figuring out the Dream

"So you're telling us that you snuck aboard to help us?" Max asked Adira "yep" she said chilled with her arms behind her head. Everyone was at the cockpit as Adira explained her story, the snow leopard sitting on the pilot chair. Khan was outside watching and listening.

"I don't buy it" Tazer said suspicious and annoyed, his arms crossed and his ears flat, leaning on the wall as he glared at the snow leopard.

"Come on Tazer. If Adira wants to help then thats great. We need all the help we can" Leena said firmly, trying to convince the fox. "Tazer's right though. We don't know anything about this Adira." Khan told Leena.

Leena walked to Adira and placed her hand on her shoulder. "But I know her. Adira helped me back in the past" she told them as Adira stood up and placed her hand on Leena's shoulder. "And I'm here to help you again" Adira told her, winking.

"Well we need all the help we can get. Right Max. Max?" Higgabottom said but when Max didn't answer, everyone looked at the lion. He was deep in thought about the dream he had.

Max's eyes looked up and he saw everyone was staring at him. "Sorry. It's just that...I just had a dream or at least I think it was a dream" Max explained and everyone started looking at him confused.

"Um I don't get it" Twitch said confused. "I think it was some kind of message. And it was from Magus" Max told them and everyone stared at him surprised except Adira who looked confused.

"Who's Magus?" She asked puzzled, tilting her head a bit. "Magus was an old friend of ours. He was the champion of the sea" Max explained.

"Max needed help with using his lion powers in the ocean so Magus became his mentor" Leena explained. "And just a moment ago, Magus gave me a clue to find him" Max pointed out.

"Ok but if you know Magus then we should know where to find him" Adira added but everyone then looked down, upset.

"What? What did I say?" Adira asked puzzled by everyone. "Magus sacrificed himself to save us on our last adventure" Khan told Adira. The snow leopard had her ears down, now realizing why everyone was sad all of a sudden.

"Sorry" she apologized, feeling bad. "It's ok Adira" Max told her smiling. He understood that Adira didn't mean it. After all she was still new. But then his face turn serious. "But now we need to figure out Magus's clue" Max reminded serious and everyone nodded.

"Alright then. So what was the clue Max?" Khan asked as everyone looked at him. Max crossed his arms "This is what Magus said. I am carved in two places. One on land. And one in the sea. But in the ocean, I am the champion of the sea" Max told them and everyone stared at him confused.

"Huh?" Everyone said puzzled. "Well that definitely sounds like Magus" Tazer added confused. "Well any ideas?" Max asked and everyone started thinking on what the clue meant. Max looked at each one of them and he tried to figure out the clue too, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Carved into two places? Sounds like Magus wants a statue of himself." Adira commented laid back...but she was on to something.

Max then looked at Adira wide eye. "Adira! That might be it! I think you figure out the clue!" Max said happy aa he ran to the pilot.

"I did?" The snow leopard asked puzzled. "She did?" Tazer asked too. He was still not to happy of Adira joining.

Max sat in the pilot seat and turned around to face everyone "After defeating shadow master, we wanted to remember Magus. So we carved two statues to honor him. And they're in two different places. One in the Lion Kingdom and one in the ocean where we first met" Max explained.

Zinti gasped at a realization, her ears up "Magus also said he was still champion of the sea. So the statue in the ocean must be it!" She said excited.

"That's right!" Max said excited. He really wanted answers from Magus. He got off the chair and Leena sat down and took the steering wheel. "Next stop Magus's home" she said confident as the ship went to its destination with Khan leading the way.
