Chapter 6: Story of the Amulets

"Magus!" Everyone said happy to see their old friend again. But Apachi glared at him, his ears flatten mad "Magus" he said.

Magus smiled at everyone "ah it's good to see old friends..." he commented as he looked at everyone "And to meet new friends" he said once he spotted the professor, Kara and Adira.

Max smiled big at Magus "It's great to see you Magus" he told him and Magus smiled back at him "You did well to figure out my clue Max" he compimented him and then his face turned serious "Now that you're all here, it's time to tell you about the Elemental Amulets" he told them and everyone looked at him, waiting to hear his answer.

Magus moved his hands and they summoned yellow magic and he spun with that magic and it made some magic holograms of the amulets. The team stared at it curious. Remra and Apachi were watching, also amazed by the magic.

"A long time ago, before you all faced Shadow Master..." Magus started to tell the story. "Shadow Master created and master a dark magic form that would allow him to rule the kingdoms. Not just the Lion Kingdom. Or the Fox Kingom and the White Tiger Clan. But it would allow him to rule the whole world" he said and everyone got wide eye at that part.

'To rule the world? Not just one kingdom? Shadow Master already took over my home once. But the world. That's even worse' Max thought in his head as he recalled what happened to his home. He shook his head to get the thought out of his head as Magus continued his story.

"I could sense that the dark magic was strong...and needed to be stop. So I created eight amulets that possess the elements of light: fire, water, life, rock, air, ice, shadow and light" he said as everyone stared at the hologram of the amulets.

Apachi then swam to another rock so he could hear more. Remra just watched him, puzzled.

"Of course no battle can be won alone. So I got and choosed a guardian for each amulet. I chose guardians that could control and harness the magic in the amulets. But to also have a pure heart. Together, we all defeated Shadow Master and saved the world" Magus finished his story and the magic hologram disappeared.

Khan then had a weird feeling someone was watching them. That's because the rock behind him was also the one where Apachi was. He tried to shake it off by asking Magus something "Why do I feel like there's more in this story?" He asked suscpious and Magus chuckled at his friend and then he disappeared.

"Huh?!" Everyone said surprised and they looked around them looking for him. Magus then teleported behind Khan "Nothing gets past you huh Khan?" He teased and the shark got startled and turned around alarmed.

Magus laughed for a moment but then he face got serious. "But you are right. There's more to the story" he said as he floated away but then Khan spotted something....something off.

"After defeating Shadow Master, we started to worry that there would a be day when someone would want to misuse the amulets. So I created three objects to help us: the Elemental Book which reveals the magic spells for each amulet. And two weapons that  could fight the magic of amulets incase one was misused. The amulets were created to be so powerful that you can't defeat them without magic" Magus explained.

Max's eyes widen at that part snd he tooked out his lion staff "Is that why my staff and Khan's spear were the only things effective on the water amulet's powers?" He asked curious. Magus nodded "Yes. Because the lion crystals in your staff are actually shards from one of the amulets. Same for Khan's spear. One weapon was made to fight on land. And the other in the water" Magus explained.

Meanwhile, Khan eyed the rock suspicious, his spear out and he was holding it tight. His eyes squinted at these small gray and black tipped coral moving....moving?!

'Coral doesn't move' Khan thought suspicious and he realized the coral looked like wolf ears...

"Apachi!" Khan yelled out alarmed and he shot magic from his spear at the rock. The rock shattered and it sent Apachi flying but the young sorcerer summoned a dark magic shield and stood his ground.

Apachi growled, angry that he got caught. "We've been spotted!" Remra said and freaked out, his hands on his head. Khan spotted him "And Remra!" He said and Remra panic more when the shark spotted him.

Everyone turned around and were on high alert. Magus spotted Apachi and his eyes got big in surprise "Apachi? He's the bad guy?" Magus said puzzled and looked at Max who had his lion staff out.

"So I guess that means you guys do know eachother" Twitch commented, smiling nervous. "Magus. We need to talk" Apachi said angry as he putted on the water amulet and his hands emitted blue water magic. And he created those water monsters again.

"First you have to get through us Apachi! And we're taking that amulet back. Let's go guys!" Max said as be and his friends charged in. "This is going to be fun" Magus said smirking and rubbing his hands before he joined the fight.
