     ༄Derick and I along with his guards go off our horses and walk to the servant door. I find it rather odd that there are no guards that have stopped us and stood in our way. I believed my stepmother was going to defend the castle yet I do not see any guards, in fact I do no see a soul in here. Derick has taken out sword as well as his guards and he goes first to the door and opens it, ready with the sword. In the kitchen there is no one, I would've expected some of the maids or even Mrs. Lila but they neither she is there.

I do not why yet I have this bad feeling inside of me that screams at me that something is wrong. I had told Derick that my stepmother would most likely be in the throne room as she is always there, I do not even think I have seen her leave it, ever. We walk in silence to the throne room yet we are rather cautious that there could come out guards at any time. Derick's guards are behind us and I do not know why yet my heart is beating faster than ever.

I feel myself grow nervous as we walk down the empty hallways, and I remember how these hallways were filled with nothing but life at this time of night. Noticing my feelings, Derick takes my hand with the hand that he is not holding the sword in and he gently holds my hand. His touch instantly makes me relax and I begin to stop worrying about this whole thing, yet there are still feelings inside of me that are still unsure of this all. Soon we have walked down all the hallways and have made it to the throne room.

The door is closed and we do not know what we will be facing when we get inside that room. Derick turns around to look at me and then hands me a dagger. "If you are in any danger and if anyone attacks you, use this" He says and I can see the begging in his eyes, he knows that I will not use this dagger to harm another even if it would save my life yet he still begs me with his eyes. "All right" I say to him, I do not even know if I will land in that position.

He turns around once again and opens the door to the throne room. Inside the room is lit with torches yet that is not what surprises me the most. The room is empty. Or almost empty. On the throne my stepmother sits with an evil smirk on her face. It has been years since I've seen her and she looks the same, then again she is a Vampire. "Well, come in, step daughter" She says and when she speaks I can see her sharp fangs. We walk inside but we are looking at everything to see if there are guards around here or not, yet there aren't anyone here.

She sits on the throne with my mother's Queen crown on her head that does not even fit her right yet it should not, that crown belongs to my mother and not her. "Here I was thinking you were not coming to see your own stepmother" She says and there is so much evil in her voice, I've never met someone that has this much evil. Derick and I along with his guards walk into the throne room closer to the middle. Before I could say anything she lets out a dark chuckle.

All around us guards begin to come and I do not even know how yet they are coming and they have us surround. I hold the dagger tighter in my hands as I feel the fear of me using that dagger on someone, especially guards that I've been around my whole life. She laughs as Derick and his guard begin to fight her guards and I stand there not knowing what to do. I see an opening where Derick is fighting and I duck down there and get out of the fighting.

I walk around the throne as she has not noticed me as she believed me to be fighting alongside Derick. I hold the dagger in my hand and I look at it, unsure if I should use it or not. My mother used to tell me that the kindness that I carry inside of me is and always will be stronger than anything in the world and that kindness will save my life someday. "If you plan on killing her, that dagger won't do it" I hear a familiar voice behind me say and I turn around.
