You stared back at him, a blank expression on your face, your eyes devoid of emotion.
The look of utter pain, he was crushed. He had thought that this morning, when he confronted you, it would be the best moment to confess his undying love for you. He, could not bear it anymore, the anger flickering to life across his pale face, a scowl strung across his face, tears in his eyes. His whole face was bubbling with rage as his breathing rapidly increased. He angrily stomped towards you, the tremors from his feet making the whole building shake.
It was completely terrifying. A child could be heard crying. Guards came rushing in, but froze at the door.
And yet, you hardly even batted an eyelid.
You had....
Forgotten.....
How to
feel.
At that moment, the time started to slow down. And everything went fuzzy at the edge of your vision...
***Dream brain thingie***
It was a constant loop, you sat there, watching a younger version of you as clung to your father, crying out desperately as he got up and left you there with that wretched woman.
Over and over, never ending, just like the tears running down your face.
You felt your knees weaken as you saw her stick the metal rod into your shoulder... And you crumbled to the floor... Desperately crying out to your father...
And then... It all... Went away..... You never woke up from the nightmare... You just got up.... And started walking down the seemingly neverending tunnel towards the darkness...
