"Lydiana!, Lydiana!". The voice of her best friend faded as she ran. Her bare feet hitting the ground at a steady rhythm. Greenery and warm light of lanterns flashed by her as she rushed towards the tree. She had to get to the tree, it was safe, quiet, away from everything.

She slowed to light run as she pushed her way through the branches and bushes. And looked up at Melioria. the tree and life that hold everything else up, it falls, we all fall. The branches and roots going all directions, the colour of oak and honey holding up a canopy of leaves. The sun shining through and swimming down to the earth where soft grass grew.

She seats herself down, leaning back against one of the roots And peers out along the way she came. Grass a lush green and the sky a pale blue, soon to be oranges and pinks of sunset. Her breathing calms as she closes her eyes. Taking in a breath of cool air, she slowly slip into sleep and dreams.

Screams tearing through the night like a knife to the skin. The song of death floating through the earth. Rivers and lakes of blood. The sky dark, the colour of pain and despair. Each scream more desperate than the last, desperate for freedom, for the pain to subside and be taken away.
"Lydia!! Lydia!!". Some one was shouting her name.

"Lydia!!!" . She jolts awake, heart hammering and a scream lodged in her throat. She starts to cough and choke.
"Hey? You ok... Stupid question, of course your not, you were just screaming in your sleep and now your gonna choke to death".
Lydia stops coughing and looks Elena in the eyes and breaks down. Tears pour down her cheeks as Elena's arms go around her. She folds up in Elena's arms and for the first time in a while, feels safe and protected.
