Today is the day, we leave on a journey to discover the truth. We have fully stocked up on food and supplies and are finally ready to go, Nova was ready in our room while Zexal is in the cargo hold. I on the other hand was making sure everything was in working order, such as nothing was going to go wrong with the engines. Kritos had told me earlier they were fine, including the hyperdrives which surprised me that they weren't damaged after being forced to break free from a tractor beam.
Once that was finished, I headed outside to see my Yautja family standing there. With a small smile, I approached them and kneeled down.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Je'Trya asks.
"I am certain, Father." I nod.
He sighed and handed me a slip of paper with some symbols upon it. I took the slip and looked it over, the symbols read "r6, b3, j7". Oddly written coordinates, I thought. Oh well, I'm positive that Tundra will know what to do when I type them in. I gave my father a tight hug, which he slowly returned. Kritos and Karna joined in and hugged us as well, I believe this is what's called a 'group hug' as its called on Earth. After a few seconds, we all pulled back and I stood up.
"Hey Praetorian!" A familiar clicking came from my left.
We all turned our heads to see Gu'taq coming our way, she was holding a jar with a screw on lid. Je'Trya straightened his posture as the female Yautja approached us, my uncles chuckled and rolled their eyes. The doctor held the jar out to me, which I curiously took into my hands.
"What's this for?" I ask.
"It's for when you find that unknown component, I need that sample to put into the databanks." She clicked.
"Don't worry, I'll get your sample. But unfortunately I don't know how long I'll be gone, hopefully not long. I promise to contact you Father every chance I get, and if I get an important message to return, I will come back as quickly as I can."
"I would hope so, now PLEASE be careful."
"I will, you don't have to worry about me."
I spun around towards my vessel and walked to the automatic door, turning my head to see my family for what may very well be the last time for a long while. Giving a final nod, I entered my vessel and the door shut behind me. Headed to the cockpit, I develop a feeling of pride in my heart. When I discover the truth, I will finally feel complete. The truth of my origin, the truth of the Redrum powder, and the truth of the unknown DNA I possess. Entering the cockpit, I walk to the control panel and look to the slip with the symbols upon it. I typed in the coordinates of r6, b3, and finally j7 into the computer.
"Tundra, where will these coordinates lead us?"
"Scanning now...scan complete. Coordinates R6 B3 J7 lead to the outer rim of the Milky Way galaxy. Estimated time of arrival, 4 months. Estimated time of arrival if hyperdrives are active, 4 days." Tundra spoke.
Milky Way? Strange name for a galaxy in my opinion, but who am I to judge the name of a galaxy? At least it won't take very long to get there, and good thing we stocked up on food. What Zexal had brought back was a HUGE lizard creature and I couldn't fit it through the door, so he gets it all to himself at the moment. I pushed a few buttons to confirm that was the location we needed to go, and the ships engines started.
"Zexal, Nova, it's time. Hang onto something." I spoke through our telepathic link.
"I'm fine down here in the cargo hold." Zexal chuckled.
"I'm hanging onto my stuffed dog." Nova replied.
I chuckled as I could feel the vessel lift off the ground, headed for my captains chair. I took a seat upon it, moving my long cape aside as it wasn't comfortable. Once the vessel was off the ground, I clung onto the arms of the chair with my claws.
