All it took was a few moments to see him, fall in love and fall out of love. Well maybe not in that order, and maybe not just once either. He was beyond sexy all tall, tan and muscular. He exuded confidence and power by just standing there at the podium giving his speech to the company.

Alexander Marchetti, her new manager and the boss’s son. Payslee knew he was nothing but trouble. Not because he has a reputation but because he doesn’t. What kind of man has no reputation but looks in your eyes with a come hither look that sets every part of your body on fire. As Payslee looked up at Alexander she swore he was looking straight into her soul. His eyes telling her all the dirty things he was going to do to her. That is when she knew he was nothing but bad news. Unfortunately, she knew it wouldn’t stop what was about to happen.

Once the meeting was over Payslee hurried to the elevator. She knew she had to get out of there or nothing good was going to come of this day. She made it in and breathe a sigh of relief as the doors were closing. She was thanking her lucky starts it was Friday. At least she could keep it together for a few more days. Then it happened. A hand found its way in between the doors making them reopen. There in all his glory Alexander step into the elevator.

Their eyes connected making the heat in her stomach start to burn harsher until she thought she would pass out. Never had Payslee felt so bothered from someone, especially someone she had never even spoke to before.

“What floor?” Payslee meekly asked. “Ground.” It was a simple gruff answer but the sound of his voice up close was way more than she could take. She had to get out of this elevator and now. Unfortunately, the ground floor was also her destination.

Well better make the best of it, she thought. “I’m Payslee Rider, I will be your marketing supervisor. It will be great to be able to move forward with so many new ideas for our products.”

“That’s nice to hear but I will have to talk to later right now I just need to get away from this place and conversation is really not on my agenda. I actually prefer it if my associates keep their mouths shut and just do the work I assign. Easier to get through the day.” Alexander look bored as if he was just passing through. This was his company and he should be kind to his associates.

“I’m sorry I’ll just leave you to it then.” Payslee know knew this may not be the big change that would make everyone’s life just a little easier. If anything Mr. Marchetti seemed like a total asshole. Work was now going to be a dreadful place to be in if every day she had to deal with be spoken too in that manner.

Once the doors to the elevator opened Alexander briskly walked out bumping into her as if she wasn’t even there. “Well excuse me, I wasn’t standing here or anything.” Payslee was mad now. How dare he just run her over? She watched as he continued through the door as if she hadn’t even said anything.

That ignorant excuse for a man. Looking all sexy thinking he can do whatever he wants. What a total douchebag.  Now I know I was imagining things while he was talking earlier. How can someone so frigid even stir something inside of me?

Payslee had to let off some steam. Fury was pacing in her mind and not releasing anytime soon. There was only one thing to do when she was this aggravated and needed to let off some steam

Snapping up her phone she knew just who to call. “Jaycee-Lyn get your ass in high gear we are going out to night. I need to dance and drink, and it doesn’t matter what order it comes in.”

Jaycee-Lyn was so use to Payslee calling her up at any given moment hot headed and needing release. Payslee was known for letting things get to her, even the small things that really don’t matter. “Yes ma’am. Where to tonight low-key or knock your socks off?” She laughed. “Tonight I want to get laid.” Jaycee knew at this point there had to be a guy involved. She had to laugh at her best friends antics. If a guy got under her skin she would go out and find another one to replace her thoughts. Problem was it never lasted and she did not but complain the entire next day.
