Chapter 2

Mia came home, opening the door to her brother playing video games. "Ughhh bro I want to watch YouTube on fullscreen!" She said as she plopped down on the couch. "Too bad Mia! I'm clicking heads right now, come back later!"  He said as his character onscreen flickshotted some loser with a shotgun to win the game. "Grrrrr fine, but I'll be back!" 

Mia layed on her bed, opening YouTube on her phone and pulling up her favorite YouTuber's channel, EmilePlays. His newest video was an Apex legends montage, one of her favorite type of videos. She almost lovingly watched as he quickscoped noobs, Pathfinder grappled a cliff then proceeded to Peacekeeper the last guy in the face, and meleed the last guy. Before she knew it she had spent an hour browsing videos and it was dark out. She changed into pajamas and snuck into the living room, then launched Horizon: Zero Dawn. She smiled.

She blinked as the windows slowly lit up with red light, and turned off the ps4. Crawling out from under the blankets, she stuck the controller in the wicker basket and snuck back down to her room. She had barely put the sheets over her body when her mom opened the door, no doubt to come wake her up at 4 in the fucking morning, and saw Mia's eyes open. She changed course faster than a guy after finding out his date is a trap, and rushed to Mia's bedside. "Oh honey are you okay? Are you sick?" Mia was tempted to stay at home, "sick", but she remembered Jack. "No mom, I'm okay. Promise." She got up, groaning, and threw on some clothes, making sure her skirt was unnecessarily short, and went out the door.
