first day

GRACES POV 

Today was the first official day of college classes. After a long weekend, I was somewhat excited, yet nervous about my classes. I had 3 today, all back to back, but luckily I was done by 11. Once I met up with my friends, Riley and Miranda who were also in my 8 am class, I was a lot more relieved and ready for classes. We quickly got classes started and they went a lot smoother than I expected. 

As I walked into the cafe to grab a quick granola bar before heading back to my dorm, I hear "grace! hey!" 

I quickly turn around to look for who called my name and am met with Trevor and his friends. I politely smile while saying hi to everyone

"what are you up to?" Trevor asks

"oh, nothing just heading back and stuff what about you guys?" 

"not much just got done with practice and grabbing a bite to eat" Trevor replies

I look at him slightly confused before saying "practice?" 

That's when the team starts chirping Trevor while a boy who's name I think is Alex comes up and throws his arm around me saying, "yep hockey practice" 

"Ohh gotcha" I reply 

Alex replies "hockey fan?"

"I mean I watch NHL, can't say I follow college hockey but"

"ok I get it, big deciding question though, favorite team?"

I chuckle at Alex before replying "pens all the way" 

Alex lets out a long sigh retracting his arm before looking at me and Trevor saying "sorry trev you cant like this one SHES A PENS FAN" 

I chuckle as Trevor blushes and shoves Alex saying "shut up"

We end up talking the whole way back to our dorms as I turn to go inside and the boys head the opposite direction, I bid everyone goodbye. 

 Successful first day if I say so myself. 

After going to the gym and doing some homework, some friends and I decide to go to dinner. As we walk in I see the whole hockey team that we met the other night. I quickly look away as they all start to shove Trevor and point towards us. Not that I didn't want to see them, I just didn't want things to be awkward. I would be open to dating Trevor but I think we should be friends for a little while first. 

My friends and I quickly sat down at a table, I glanced up and made eye contact with Trevor, he quickly looked down blushing before looking back up and smiling, I returned the smile before getting back to my conversation. we all decided to head back to the dorms and call it a night, we got up and threw the trash out. As we walked out the whole hockey team was still sitting there and they all yelled "hey grace" 

I looked over blushing at the attention and smiled waving and saying "hi" before continuing to walk out with my friends. 

After we got back, I went to shower while Emily turned on a movie and did homework. After I finished showering I climbed into bed to watch Netflix and relax. I noticed a few snaps from Trevor and opened them, there was a couple of Trevor that his friends sent with funny captions, then one from Trevor apologizing for whatever his friends said and then a final one of Trevor asking what my plans were for labor day weekend. 

I quickly snapped him back saying hahaha the snaps were funny, tell your friend's thanks 🤪 and then double snapped saying, I think I'm going to my aunt and uncles in new york to hang for a little hbu

I smiled as he replied almost instantly saying are they picking you up

I quickly replied no I'm gonna take the train

he snapped back saying I'm going home, I can take you, NYC is only like 30 mins away from me

no, its ok, ill be fine thank you tho 

no, I'm not taking no for an answer you're not riding the train alone

trev I appreciate it but ill be fine trust me 

I'm leaving at 12 ill see you then

I simply replied ugh no 

before falling asleep. I was worried to take the train by myself but I barely knew Trevor, don't get me wrong I trust him but I also don't want to inconvenience him. hmm, I don't know though I might take him up on the offer. And with that, I was out after a long first day.
