The next time was sheer luck. Yet again. This senior year.

I was in the library looking for a book to do some review on, when I caught him reading by the Science Fiction area. I was initially opting for the sci-fi section of the library, so I went there.

I took one book, and then I heard, “The Hunger Games, eh?”

I looked, and it was him. He was already standing beside me, looking at me and then the book.

“I’m doing a book review. This is an interesting read,” I said.

“I heard that was a rip-off of the Japanese Battle Royale,” he said. “I watched the movie, and it was exactly the same.”

“Not exactly the same, I guess. Battle Royale was Japanese, and Hunger Games isn’t,” I answered.

He let out a snort. Which was surprising because I’ve never seen him exude such emotion besides being emotionless. I smiled. “I mean, kidding aside, they may have the same plot about killing each other and the future and all, but I see more heart with the Hunger Games because it’s more on the protagonist’s struggle to keep her family safe and alive,” I said.

He nodded, a clear sign that he acknowledged my opinion.

“And then I heard Battle Royale was the rip-off of Lord of the Flies,” he said.

“I saw that, too. So maybe that was the inspiration,” I said.

I looked at him, and he looked at me like he was enjoying the exchange of ideas.

“But I do suggest that you read this---“

He gave me the book he was reading.

“Tuesdays with Morrie,” I read the title. I haven’t read anything by Mitch Albom, so this was very new to me.

“That’s a very good book, and it’ll be nice if you write on something more emotional and appealing to the heart,” he said.

“Thanks,” I said, shyly.

“Not a problem. And I don’t think that’s part of the Sci-fi section, though,” he said.

I smiled, trying my best not to show my ginormous rabbit teeth.

“Well, see you later, Ms. Chen,” he said.

And he walked past through me and left .

That was a very interesting conversation. And yes, Sehun. I will definitely make this my book review. So, thanks for the suggestion.

That was the second time.
