<<Coffee Shop>>

I caught him in the coffee shop I was  always visiting one day.

He was sitting on a table, with a frappucino on the table, and plate of cheesecake.

He was reading a book, yet again.

I went to him.

“Hey,” I said, clearing my throat so he can notice me.

Maybe he did notice me overshadowing him.

He looked, and just gave me a blank look.

“It’s you,” he said, as if he does not know me.

“Me,” I said, trying not to smile, because he clearly was not happy or excited to see me around.

“Is this seat taken?”

Okay, I said that. Just so I can initiate a friendship between us two.

Which was very stupid, I realized, because he was looking at me, and his eyebrows went a notch up.

Like he was very surprised or something.

“Oh...uh....” he said. And it made me wonder what there is in that question which seemed so difficult for him to answer. And then I realized, maybe he did not want company at all.

“Never mind,” I said, “I’m going for take-out anyway.”

And before he could answer, I walked to the counter to order.

Arrogant, snobbsih, anti-social.

Hmpf.

Whatever.

When the cashier handed me the mocha frap, and then telling me how much it was, I went for my wallet, only to hear a, “Keep the change.”

To my surprise, Sehun was handing the money to the cashier.

He got the frap and handed it to me.

I just took it, and said, “Uh, thanks,” with utter confusion in me.

“You should sit with me now,” he said, in a tone that sounded more like I was obligated to do it because he said so.

“No thanks,” I said. “I’m going home anyway.”

“But I paid for that,” he said, looking at the frap I was holding.

WHAT THE HELL?

He was implying to me that he was the richest person on the face of the planet so I should follow his orders.

What an arrogant freak.

“Here!!!!!” I shove the frappucino on him. Luckily, he barely catches it. “I never asked you to do so.”

I bumped him purposefully as I walked to the exit.

I barely made it out when he took my arm.

“Look---I wanted to buy this for you,” he said, giving me the frappucino.

“I don’t want it.”

He was surprised, to say the least.

“How ungrateful of you,” he said. And this time, his face wasn’t expressionless. His eyes were widened, and I could hear his breathing getting heavier.

“What? I never asked you to buy me that,” I said, doing my best to keep my cool, and raising my eyebrow, so he could see I was not afraid of him.

Then Sehun’s expression changed from furious to usual arrogant, the face he does best.

“Well, for a scholar, I’m surprised you come here to this fancy shop often, knowing that your family’s broke.”

I could feel my gut twist.

What he said was beyond the line already.

Okay. I’m bursting.

I pulled the plastic cup of cold caffeinated beverage from him.

I pulled the lid, and purposefully poured all of the liquid unto his shirt.

Then I threw the container at him.

“Keep my family out of this,” I told him. I wanted to cry, but that would only show weakness.

“And yeah, we are broke, but I’m doing a part-time job just so I can help out with the bills. And you’re asking why I eat here? This is my saved up money. And you don’t know that because you’re filthy rich. So suck on your money and let us poor people live our lives.”

I turned and walked away, heavy footsteps, heavy heart.

I saw his face after I poured all that cold coffee on him.

He wanted to kill me, I could tell at first, but when he heard what I had to say, he was ashamed.

Maybe because of the coffee on him.

Then maybe because he realized he was a twat.

And perhaps that’s all he will ever be.

So the rumors about him being an arrogant ass are true.

He is an ass.

And I am never talking to him again.

That is, if he is ever talking to me again with what I just did to him.
