This story takes place between freshman year, and senior year (beginning season 1 to season 3's ending).

Cesar and Layla were doomed from the start.

From childhood sweethearts, to boyfriend and girlfriend, to almost rivals, these two have been through the trials and tribulations of being a teenager growing up in gangland Los Angeles.

Still, emotions and love reign as they always find their way back to each other.
