This whole Literature class was a nightmare.
Justin tried to get my attention by throwing stuff at me and calling my name. The teacher even yelled at me because of him! I'm sure that was the whole plan from the beginning.
"Okay, class, you are dismissed." Ms. Anderson says and gathers her stuff.
As I get up and about to take my books, I feel someone tapping my shoulder. I twirl around to find Justin standing there. "What do you want?" I ask, not wanting to talk to him.
"I'm sorry I got you in trouble." I look around and notice the last student just left the class and we're both alone. I take a deep breath to calm myself before answering. "Whatever." I grab my books and start to walk away but he blocks the way out. "Please forgive me." I roll my eyes, push him aside and leave him there alone to die. Okay, maybe not to die but I still left him alone.
I walk down the hall when all of a sudden, Ryan and the others come out of nowhere. I see Justin is already there. I glare at him as I walk by them. "What happened, sweatpants? Got in trouble in Literature class?" They all burst into laughter. I look down and keep walking, ignoring Justin's sorry face.
I knew it. Justin wasn't really trying to be nice... He was just trying to get me into trouble and then tell everyone about it so they could laugh at me. Whatever. I don't care about him. He's a jerk.
I walk into gym, quickly heading to the showers to change my clothes before I head back out to find Chaz and Justin flirt with two blondes.
Yeah, Chaz Somers is also in the group. He doesn't really do much but he's Justin and Ryan's best friend. There are more people who are in the group other than Justin, Ryan, and Chaz, such as Nolan, Mitch, Maddie, Olivia, Connie, Caitlin, Christian, Kayla and Ariel. They think they're so cool because they know a celebrity and also because they think they're so hot and pretty... No. Just no.
I roll my eyes at their sight, and sit down in the corner, alone.
I see Chaz pointing at me and laughing from the corner of my eye. I just arrived and they're already making fun of me.
I mean, how can anyone do this? How can anyone hate on someone this much? I didn't do anything to them. Ever since day one they've been hating on me. And why? Because I wore weird clothes.
I didn't wear them on purpose. It was my first day here, about three years ago. It was a long time before I started to cut so I didn't need to wear anything long and messy like now. It was the first day of school and because I wanted to leave a good first impression so badly, I wore my best outfit which was that white dress my grandma bought me for my birthday. My biological grandma. Not the other one.
Anyways, in this exact same day, my sister decided to get sick. And not just sick. Sick with a flu and vomit and all those other gross things. I tried to keep distance from her as much as I could but somehow she managed to puke on me. Yep, that's right. She puked all over my favorite dress on my first day of school. But that's not the worst thing that'd happened.
She barfed on me exactly when it was time to go. So, I had to run upstairs and quickly change to the first clothes I caught in my hands and hurry downstairs to the bus before it left. Only when I sat down on the bench in the bus, I allowed myself to check what I wore. And guess what? It was a pink shirt of spongebob - which I used to wear only when I slept over at friends' house - my old blue converse and a pair of sweatpants. Have I mentioned my hair looked really messy since I didn't have time to get it straight with all the running and stress I felt to get in time? Oh, by the way, that's how I got the nickname "sweatpants". But don't worry. I have more names other than that.
