"Cal come on!"
I was already ready to go shopping for the festival. My excitement was making me anxious and nervous at the same time.

"Why are you rushing we have all day." Cal grabbed a veil and tossed it at me. "What is this?" I looked up with confusion. He simply ignored my question and finished getting ready.

Eventually I got the message and put it on. It was a black sheer veil that covered my hair and face. It had beautiful lace patters at the hem and even though it was sheer you could barely see my face.

When we arrived to the street market it was packed. So many people looking for festival attire and decorations. As we approached the crowd I felt cal tightly grab my hand. "Stay close so we don't get separated."

We bumped into so many people and people bumped into us. Each time I felt Cal grip my hand to make sure we wouldn't get separated.

As we went through the crowd I noticed a stand that no one was at. I tugged at Cals arm so we could go in that direction. He turned around to look at me and I pleaded with my eyes. His stare was blank and he let out a sigh confirming we could go.

"Hello there what would you like to see." The lady at the stand greeted us with a big smile.

I looked around the stand to find a sky blue top with silver jewels hanging at the hem. Then a matching skirt that came a little above the ankles. I noticed it was a bit sheer and sparkly, but I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.

"How much?" I instantly looked up at the lady working at the stand eagerly awaiting her answer. "Any price hun."

Shockingly looking at the lady I quickly turned my head to Cal to see how he felt. Before our eyes could meet he let go of my hand to reach in his pocket. He pulled out some money and handed it to the lady.

The lady looked in her hand and shot her head to look at Cal surprised. "A-Also take this for free." She handed me sandals that tided at the ankle like a bracelet and had the same silver jewels as the clothing. She quickly put everything in a bag and gave it to Cal.

Throughout that whole day I was buying things for the festival while Cal bought more food and other clothing for us to travel. The whole day started to become exhausting because it was so crowded and hot.

I tugged on Cal sleeve so he could pay attention to me for a moment. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at me. I never noticed how much taller he was than me or how beautiful his silver eyes....silver? I snapped out of my thoughts when he spoke.

His deep voice shook my core and I started to get nervous.

"What's wrong princess?"

I was stunned by his eyes. I've seen them before but on someone else. I couldn't remember who but I know regular people don't carry such bloodlines. I felt my body being lifted off the ground, but before I could react I was in his arms bridal style and face to face with his dark eyes!?.

He didn't say anything and just stared into my eyes. I wanted to shrivel away from him every time he pierced me with his look. "Cal what are you doing!?"

"Calm down you seem tired let's get something to eat and go home." Still carrying me through the crowd he put me down at a bar.

"What can I get for you kind sir."

A man with a long white beard approached us. He was balding at the top and was clearly an older man. As he was cleaning some glasses awaiting Cals response, I headed off to the bathroom.

The bathroom was very simple and mostly wooden. The toilet was a dugout and let's just say it was out of order at the moment. I fixed my hair to let it down so I could relax a bit more.

Walking out I sat back at the bar with Cal who seemed to already be on his second drink. "Have you always been a heavy drinker?" Staring at him I couldn't help but notice the other glass.

"Not unit I met a princess."

He chuckled but all I could do was turn and ignore him.

"Excuse me can I have the hardest liquor you offer?"

The older man looked at me as if I was speaking another language.

"She said she would like the hardest liquor." Cal repeated what I said but in a more demanding tone. The man with no hesitation poured me something brown and dropped a cube of ice in it.

"Here you go mi lady." Sliding me the glass I took it and starred at it.

"Don't tell me you've never drunk before."

I only gave him a glance and threw the drink back. It instantly burned my throat and left a warm sensation. Trying to prove a point I asked for another glass and threw that one back also.

"Calm down Zaria." I saw Cal glaring at me a bit but that didn't stop me from taking my third drink.
