"I'm hungry" as I was talking to the horse whom I yet to name I realized I didn't bring food.

"How idiotic of me, don't you think." Still talking to the only thing that keeps me company.

From time to time I went into the horse pen and groomed the horses, but father told me that wasn't my place as a princess so he stopped me.

I was tired from staying up all night making sure we were in the clear and I wouldn't be dragged back home. Now that I know we are, it's time to rest.

I laid forward on the horse and let him take us wherever he pleased.

I must of been exhausted because I started to hallucinate. I was seeing a kid running next to the horse and I watched him look at me and reach for the bag on the horse. Laughing at how silly this was I watched him snatch it and, run?

"Oh no." Popping straight up I realized, it wasn't a hallucination.

"Giddy up." I whispered to myself but I signaled for the horse to run and boy did he.

I noticed more kids around us in the woods and they were cheering the kid with my bag on like it was a game.

As we got closer I leaned towards him to grab the bag but then he took a sharp right turn.

"Damn kid."

I followed behind making sure I wouldn't lose him. Knowing that I wouldn't catch him on the horse because of all the tree in the way, and the turns he was making, I decided to jump off.

Right on the kid.

I landed on him pretty rough. I felt bad but remembered he stole from me.

"Ow lady I was going to give it back." I snatched the bag from his hands and pressed my knee on his back.

"Yeah?when?"

I got up and dusted myself off. All the other kids came in and picked him up and they ran off in the city.

"Pardon them, they don't really get a lot of visitors."

"Oh well that explains it very well." I let a little sarcasm slip and I knew she heard it because her head bowed a bit with a sad smile.

"I'm sorry, it's my first time here and I didn't expect that." Apologizing to her I hoped it'd fix my rudeness.

"It's fine, I understand." She started walking away and I followed.

"Do you know a place to stay and eat?"

She went to a stand of hers that sold cloths with beautiful patterns of all colors.

"Yes, it's very, brute though."

Looking at her confused I needed to know more. "What do you mean?"

"It's a bar, that's were you can get food, but only drunk men reside in there."

"I'll take my chances."

She nodded me off and off I went.

I went to the bar and tied my horse to a poll.

It was loud. You could hear yelling and screaming from outside. Looking up I noticed the sun going down. "Soon it will be dark, I'll find us a place." Giving the horse an apple I went inside.

I was extremely hesitant to go inside but I didn't have a choice.

I pushed open the wooden door being careful not to catch a splinter. The creak from the door echoed silencing everyone in the room. Eyes where on me before I could even be seen.
