The heard and the fire

We saw the fire getting bigger and bigger and then the heard. "Come on girl," Jade said as we dashed to the spot. There was smoke everywhere Jade had to put her mouth in a cloth to breathe.

"We got to find that heard," Jade said as she looked frantically. We finally found the heard but one of them was injured. "We have to get them out" Jade was scared I could tell very well. As we got to the injured horse we found out it was a filly.

"I have an idea Baner," Jade told me the plan. The plan was to put the filly on my back and I lead the heard out. "Ok, now go Baner" of course I would never leave Jade. "Go the heard needs to get out" 

Yeah and so do you "Baner I'll be fine I know the fire code but right now the heard needs you." That sold it as much as I regretted leaving Jade the heard needed me. "I'll see you soon" I hope so Jade I hope so.

As I got out of the fire with the heard I went straight back to find Jade. I found her and she was burned badly. I brought her out and we went back home and got her to a hospital. "Thank you, Baner" obviously aunt Penny was thankful.

It came time to go home and I was not happy I didn't want to go back home yet. "Come on Baner" Alex was getting frustrated. "Give her some time to calm down Alex" oh I forgot to tell you Jade's back.

"Fine, I hope you know what you're doing Jade" she did. She clicked her tongue and led me into the trailer. "Wow, how did you do that?" umm easy she didn't force me to go in. As she was about to close the door we heard the horses from the stable but also one of the wild horses.

"Looks like they want you to join there heard Baner" yeah now that you come to think of it. Jade sighed and repeated something her mother told her. "If you love the horse let it go" Jade was right I stared at the horse and she suddenly started to take my halter off.

"You belong in the wild, not in a stall" Alex was just watching as she let me go. She gave me one last hug and whispered: "I love you" to me. I ran off to the horse and looked at Jade for the last time.

When we got to the heard they asked me what my name was I told them Baner of the Stars or Baner for short. *ME-so I'm going to have the horses talking now* "Baner will work by the way I'm Fog."

Ok, so we had Fog who are the other horses. "I'm the leader of this heard just like my father before me." wow I never have known a horse who was this nice. "Excuse me Fog was it" yeah I forgot at that moment.

"Yes, what is it Baner" ok he's calling me by my nickname. "I was wondering if I could meet the rest of the heard." I probably asked a stupid question "oh, of course, this way." Ok, it wasn't a stupid question.

"Well, I also wanted to thank you for saving my heard." My question is why was he not there "quick question." Not the time Baner "yeah what is it." Here we go"where were you when the fire was going."

He started to say something but got cut off. "Fog we need you" ugh, so close we both ran to the spot and the was the foal that was on my back. "You still didn't answer my question" he hesitated to answer.

"When I finish with this ok" ok, after that little situation. "So, where were you when the fire was going on." I can't stop what leader would leave his heard at that time. "I was trying to find some fresh grass, happy."

Went to find fresh grass yeah no "you abandoned them didn't you" keep your mouth shut Baner. "Don't tell anyone but I would trade places with you any day." Ok, so you did abandon them "so you did abandon them."

Keep your mouth shut Baner "ok if it will make you happy yes I did." Wow, you do not deserve to be the leader, Fog. "I'm going now," I told Fog as I started to walk off towards storm my new best friend.

Storm is a gray mare with a black mane and tail. "Hey Storm" when I said that she could tell something was troubling me. "What is it Baner," Strom asked me "oh nothing" lie lie lie. "Baner, I know we've only known each other for a few hours but I can tell something up."

She's right "ok, yes there is something up Fog left you guys in the fire purposefully." I blurted out not knowing that the rest of the herd was behind me of course not Fog. "What" I heard many voices say behind me.

"Well, not a secret anymore" Storm teased I heard the herd arguing on what to do. "We should just kick him out of the herd." one of them said, "no, we should have Baner as ower leader." No thank you maybe lead mare but not the leader.

"Enough" I shouted everyone's faces were stunned at what just happened 'oh, sorry didn't mean to scare you." They started to laugh "what?" I asked "you thought that you scared us we were shocked at your reaction cause you said that at the end of "we should make Baner leader."

That was Dusk a very self-confident stallion. "Yeah, I won't have the skill to lead a herd," I said hoping to get out of that. "I could help you," said Owl my crush since the fire. "R-really" I stammered.

"Of course, a pretty mare like you shouldn't lead a herd by herself" ok that sold it. Was offering to be my stallion? "can I talk with you privately Owl?" I asked him politely "sure," he said. "Were you offering to be my stallion back there." I managed to say.
